Watching the Kings/Pacers game brought back the old memories of the Artest-Jermaine-Jackson trio and how good they were.. theoretically speaking, would they have been able to go to the finals if the suspensions didn't take place?
Notice that your poll and your post ask two different questions. I answered no to the poll, but my answer to your post is yes.
The best Pacers ever i think were when they fought Bulls 7 games in east conference final. That was a championship team.
You are correct sir. I'm a Bulls fan but I grew up watching the Pacers play in the Fairgrounds Coliseum in the ABA days. That game 7 loss is one of the most bitter NBA memories I have. After the game, even Scottie Pippen admitted the Bulls were lucky to pull that one out. Are you from the area? It's hard to believe anyone but a local would remember that game.
No, talent wise they were the best team in the NBA but they had no chemistry, that locker room was split in half with Jermaine and Artest polarizing the rest of that team. Reggie held that team together because everyone respected him but once he retired all the egos basically clashed.
Pacers, lets see.. '99-'00 NBA Finals 00'-01' lost 1st round 01'-02' lost 1st round 02'-03' lost 1st round 03'-04' Conference Finals analysis: Isiah Thomas SUCKS. all the 1st round losses he was coaching the team. Pacers-Spurs would have been a good Finals in '04-'05. But I think Detroit was still the better team.
That's just ignorant, do you know the roster composition from 00 to 01? they pretty much overhauled the team, rebuilt it, they did a damn good job of rebuilding while not being in the lottery.
Were the Pacers the only team to take the post 1995 Bulls to 7 games? I think so... Maybe not? But I think so.
