Wendy's Workers Photographed Bathing In Restaurant Sink

Yea, but it's a sink. It's not the most sanitary place to begin with. Now, if Wendy's had a procedure where they were just throwing vegetables and meat in the sink while in no containers to wash them or something, then I would be vomiting probably.

Kind of reminds me of Kramer installing a garbage disposal in his shower and doing the vegetables while he bathed. LOL. Now, if these guys were actually washing vegetables while they were bathing, then it would be a comparable disgust.

I don't condone their actions, however. I would prefer they not wash themselves in the sink that is supposed to be used for restaraunt food preparation. That...and they never sanitize the sink...which they claim(or we hope) they do.

Why are photo workers so damn nosy? Really not something to be calling the cops for. I would add to Surfguy's post that fastfood places don't really do any food prep; they just open a bag and use the contents. I'd be surprised if Wendy's had a need to wash any food at all.

 

Because they can be, as with anybody put in that position. I'm sure I'd love and cringe at some of the stuff that comes through photo shops.

 

I don't know what's weirder....the act itself, or the fact that someone took pictures...

 

Or that the person had to get them developed . . . what, Wendy's doesn't pay you enough to buy a digital camera?

I cant speak for hom things are done these days...or how they are done in hamburger joints(since I worked in pizza places)....but back when I worked there in college, we used to have to prep the veggies...cut onions..bell peppers..etc..

also...the dough for the crusts had to be made and rolled out by hand..

What everyone should be worried about is hoping that the people doing that work actually wash up before and during....

the meat and cheese comes bulk packaged...and some of the other toppings like olives came in cans.
So there might be a certain amount of prep necessary....but like I said...Im not positive about fast food joints these days.

 

At Wendy's the lettuce (both iceberg and romaine) is washed in the sink and the tomatoes are washed before they are sliced. Those are the only foods that are prepped in any sinks. And if this restaurant is anything like the one that I used to manage, the sink that's big enough for someone to bathe in is strictly used for washing dishes. There was a separate sink that was used for food prep, and it was much smaller than the dish sink.

Heh, we used to joke about jumping into the dish sink. It was actually a pretty cool device. It was a very large sink and you would fill it about half full. Then you would press a button and soap would automatically be put into the water, and there were jets and a heater in there. You could just throw the dishes in and walk away, and the jets would clean them quite nicely...

 

wendy's has dishes? i thought everything there was disposable?

 

I'm sure they have non-disposable dishes for cooking various things, such as their chili. Damn it, this thread just made me hungry.

that reminds me, anyone try the new white meat McNuggets? they look better than before but kinda taste bland. the Wendys nuggets are better.

 

I agree completely with your assertions on the state of the nuggets.

 

When I buy nuggets, I don't want chicken flavor. I want sodium-rich tangyness. If I wanted chicken, I'd cook at home.

Nuggets should be a means to the sauce.

 

Yet another scenario which I would have LOVED to have been privy to the thought processes leading up to the event.

Jim: "Bob, I spilled chili on my clothes."
Bob: "Well, Jim, I suppose you'll have to wash them...and yourself."
Jim: "But Bob, there are no showers or baths here, and going home to wash would take like...forever. I wish there was some good solution to this problem."
Bob: "Waaaaaait a minute....you could just jump in the big sink and wash yourself in there!"
Jim: "Yeah! Bathe myself in the big sink where we wash all the dirty dishes with all the food! I'd be stupid NOT to do this!"
Bob: "What's more, Jim...I'll take pictures with this disposable camera I bought for no reason I could think of until now."
Jim: "Bob, you are the wind beneath my wings."

 

WHEW, I am glad they sanitized that sink.

 

Wendys nuggets are great. So juicy, and only 99 cents.

 

You forgot the other guy that was also in the sink...2 guys bathing, one guy taking pictures. Your account needs revision.
