If this is it boy, it sure was a fun ride. However, after we trade your contract, I sure hope you rehab and make a comeback with us next season. Would love to see you back on the court in Rockets Red. And we'll be a better team so you won't feel like you've got to carry our whole team on top of carrying an entire continent besides. Take a load off, you did well. Enjoy the next few days, weeks, and months. Then get your mind back focused and make a comeback. I'll be waiting.
A few good moments here and there, but on the whole -- not so fun. Not blaming him, though. He did what he could.
you're a super-swell fella, but please retire. please don't give the rockets any reason to bring you back on a sympathy or loyalty card and lose focus on completely retooling this bobsled to hell.
The only reason why I want Yao to come back is to convince another Star to join or to trade him to a team for a Star. We should of dealt Yao a couple of years ago when his stock was high and we probably wouldn't be in this mess.. So Yao comeback big fella so we can use you
Thanks, Yao. Though, I would still love to see Yao in a Rockets uniform next season as a back-up C... with minimum dent on salary cap.
the man has jacked up feet. he's 7'6" and huge and can't support his weight on those feet. i understand loyalty and being a fan...believe me i do. but it's time to turn the flipping page already. let him be involved with the franchise off the court however he wants. he can wear a red jacket and be the one who represents us on lottery night.
If Yao is on the roster, the Rockets will still have that glimmer of hope that he can recover and won't put their full effort into reconstructing the front-court. Its time to just let go. I have a feeling Yao will retire. He didn't retire sooner because he felt obligated to try to come back and play out his contract. He has a great sense of responsibility. But after this year, he's free to say, "Now I'm done." and everyone will understand.

Really? Sorry to hear you feel that. I actually enjoyed his career here for the most part. In fact, up until he got injured in the playoffs 2 years ago, I thought it was a good ride. The past 1 1/2 seasons, not so much though.
Why would you trade Yao when he was healthy? Especially when centers as good as him are rare. When he was hurt his stock plummeted and no one wanted him. Kind of hard to trade a player like that, unless you want complete garbage in return.
