We'll regret it if Morey sells Martin and Scola

Martin has already been one of the best SG and can play better.
Gasol is just better than Scola but they are both 32.
We shouldn't lose our most valuable players to chase an old guy.
Gasol can't be the core of the team for 5 years like Dwight or CP3.
We shouldn't sell two starting players even if they can change for Kobe.

    Fisher+Kobe+Artest+Gasol+Bynum=lakers' disappointed last season

What about selling Martin and Scola for Kobe?
    It will be
    Kyle+Kobe+Budinger+Patterson+Nene(maybe)=worse than Lakers
    So
    Kyle+Lee+Budinger+Gasol+Nene=the worst result

I'd trade either player for that unprotected Clipper's pick that Minny has. Hell, I'd trade both. Then we'd have a very good chance of having two top ten picks, maybe higher, plus the low first round pick from the Knicks.

Unfortunately no team that has high draft picks available next year is likely to be in love with giving those picks up to rebuild around Martin or Scola. They will be in the same boat or worse than the Rockets and looking to rebuild with young players. Both players are good enough to really help a mid-level to contender, but not good enough to build around if your team isn't already a likely playoff team this year. Plus we would have to take some sort of salary dump back in return.

That Knicks pick is one Amare knee injury away from the lottery.

Then I'd offer K-Mart to Minny for their Clipper's pick. i'd even sweeten the deal further if necessary. To potentially have three top ten pics in the 2012 lottery would allow the Rockets to rebuild the right way. What are the odds, after all, of Morey screwing up three top ten picks in a loaded draft? Not very likely.

I'd stay away of the Clippers pick. If CP3 goes there, that's a pretty good team.

The 2009 Draft Lottery class didn't work so let's switch to the 2012 Draft Class.

You're out of your damn mind if you think the Lakers are trading Kobe.

Doesn't Kobe have a no-trade clause in his contract...? He's going to retire a Laker.

Why does everyone seem to think Pau is 32? He's 31.

I didn't say that anyone could make Kobe play for a team other than Lakers.
My point is Rockets' only two best players shouldn't be sold anyway, even if for Kobe/CP3/Wade... One superhero with 14 bench warmers always makes lottery.
We need a center like Przybilla to help Martin & Scola, not allstar Pau to solve everything.

Let me guess. You think we should have kept the Franchise and not traded for T-Mac, right?

I did know Kobe can't be traded.
I meant that we shouldn't lose two starting players even if for Kobe.

I'd hate for the Rockets have a bright future also. I love finishing right around 500 every year.
