Don't forget the LOTR DVD set that comes out in the next 3 weeks. For me - I'm nabbing that, the Simpsons DVD set (assuming it's not $50), plus Madden NFL 2003 and NBA Live 2003. Definately a good time to be in the business of getting a sizeable amount of financial aid money.
There will be three LOTR sets. The first comes out in August and is a basic DVD set. Two come out in November and I think each is 4 DVDs. On eof them comes with some sort of DVD holder.
Only thing I'm anticipating is finally getting the Swinger's Collector's edition...and finally getting my ass to pick up High Fidelity on DVD. Woohoo!
And what about Jackie Brown (which is actually my favorite of the Quentin Tarrantino movies)? And Star Trek 2 Special Edition And Super Troopers (Hey, I'm buying this one) And Gremlins I and II Special Editions And Ed Wood And V: The Final Battle And Time After Time (an underrated movie, in my opinion. David Warner, Mary Steenburgen and Malcolm MacDowell) And, most importantly, the Schoolhouse Rock DVD. And it doesn't really get any better in September with the 24: Season 1 set, The Young Ones: Complete Series set, Blade II, Friends: Season 2, Hollywood Ending, The Long Goodbye, Monsters, Inc, Swingers: SE, and Project Greenlight coming out. At least there's not much in October (though Strange Brew will be coming out), so we can save up for November and Spider-Man, Attack of the Clones, LOTR (which I won't be buying), etc., as well as December's release of the Back to the Future trilogy. I wonder how many of these the Best Buy will actually carry (I was very disappointed to find that Best Buy did not have Better Off Dead on the shelves when it was released last week. Had to order online.
man, i can't even buy any of these until i get a job and start working again! i have a mental list a MILE long of dvds, games, and new electronics i want to buy once i get a steady paycheck again... i go to Fry's and just daydream!
Oh man...some classic episodes there So you've decided to steal cable. Myth: Cable piracy is wrong. Fact: Cable companies are big faceless corporations, which makes it okay. I just wanted the Carl Yastrzemski card with the big sideburns! tree falling in the woods tree falling in the woods tree falling in the woods tree falling in the woods tree falling in the woods ...and, of course, that whole scene where Homer falls down the gorge, gets picked up by the ambulance and falls down the gorge again after the ambulance hits a tree is one of the most classic Simpsons scenes ever...
