Now that Chuck has made his sudden and tragic exit, Hakeem will be the sole veteran leader of this team, much like he was back in the 94 season. Although he doesn't have the same legs he once did, it will be interesting to see how he rises to the challenge. We're going to see for the first time in a while what he can do without Barkley -- something that a lot of us have been wondering about. I know that I for one have said that Hakeem's game has suffered during the Barkley era primarily because of the fact that he hasn't been allowed to establish the kind of rhythm he had grown accustomed to. We'll see if he's still got the ability to dominate if given the ball on a consistent basis. Chuck, you will be missed my friend, and my heart goes out to you on this tragic ending of your career. I'm sorry to see it end this way.
As Charles said, he has too many good memories to make the end look bad. It's tragic to the fans, but to Charles, it might be otherwise. Or should he come back next season? Take care, Chuck! If anything, you're welcome to be in a Rockets uniform AGAIN! Go! Dream!!!
