Yeah we lost, but this loss I can live with. The Rockets gave everything they had and I am proud of them. We are basically a new team from last year. Missing all of our offensive weapons (Hakeem , Maurice, Steve, and Cuttino). Moochie played pretty good tonite I think. Didnt waste alot of time dribbling the ball. Kenny is getting $50 mill next year. Cato...uuummmm....well I am not going to start another apology thread unless he does this for a couple of games in a row. Oscar will turn into one of the better bench players in a year or two. Tierre Brown was pretty fun to watch. Loss...but still a good effort by our team.
Moral victories suck! This loss counts just the same as any other loss. Yes, the Rockets played hard, but they still lost. Our moral victories are piling up this year(Minnesota, Lakers, Spurs, and now Kings). It's nice to come back from large deficits, but it means nothing if you don't win the game!
It is true that moral victories do not mean anything, but with our best player out for 6 weeks-I think we should celebrate what this bench team accomplished tonite- they gave the Kings a game-more than we did last time with Steve and Cuttino. This may be the best we can expect. There is no big man out there to trade for, we have no money - over the cap, and play in a very tough conference. We will be lucky to win 45 games this season. We won't make the playoffs, we will get a mid range draft pick, and start over next season with little hope of improvement.
Damn you guys are depressing. Moral victories is all you can ask for when your #1, #2, #3 option on offense are missing. I still think we will make the playoffs this year. Jazz, Blazers and the Suns are not exactly off to a bad ass start either.
Moral victories my A$$, this team plays soft, and it disgusts me. I want an Attitude adjustment on the defensive end. The Rockets give up more WIDE OPEN shots then the local noon time ball at the YMCA. Heart...anyone see a heart lying around ? DaDakota
OK I'm having trouble here. No Steve. No Cuttino. We lost by 5, when really the game wasn't ours to win. How much more can you expect? It's not like we were playing the bulls. Very encouraging.
yeah man. I for one was really proud of the way they went out there and played without our 2 biggest offensive weapons considering this team has been struggling on the offensive end this season. Give them a little credit
Everyone's sick of moral victories. But it could have been alot worse. No Steve, No Cuttino, and still a close game against a team that has f*ing spanked us silly the last few outings. I would have been more impressed with a W, but this wasn't a horrible game (even though they are still shooting at that phantom hoop behind the real one). Torres played well, Brown got a couple of good minutes, Cato actually showed up (3 blocks, 1 assist, and a steal on top of the rebs), and Rice didn't totally suck. And Moochie did dribble it out a few times, but 19 pts and 6 assists ain't bad for a starter. All in all not bad considering our two top guys were out (3 when we count Mo)... Is it just me, or does Kenny Thomas seem like our best player this season behind the dynamic duo? He appears to be much more consistent.
Thats exaclty what I mean. Of course I am sick of moral victories, but when we have our three best players out what more can you expect? Its like the Lakers going without Shaq, Kobe, and Horry.
Without Shaq, the lakers are good, but beatable. Without him or kobe they're a lottery team. BTW I think it was a pretty good game considering Barkley says we can't win without Steve or Cat. We did come close against a team that, in my humble opinion, is harder to beat than the lakers.
The Lakers without Kobe and Shaq are better than the Rockets without Steve and Mobley. Norris Torres Rice KT Cato versus Derek Fisher Mitch Richmond Rick Fox Samaki Walker/Much improved Andrei Medvedenko Jelani Mccoy Writing that down, I just realized how good the lakers are. That team would make the Playoffs in the East, and be something like 10th in the West. Take out 2 players, and add the 2 best players in the world, and you get the soon to be Lakers Dynasty.
We should have won the game last night. If we only had a fresh moochie at the end of the game we had a chance. Rudy T's rotation still sux. I mean Rice couldn't hit anything why not go to Walt. Why didn't Moochie get a small break. I mean he played the entire second half. Brown isn't the answer but at least give Moochie a 3 min break in the start of the 4th quarter. Rudy T's rotation are helterskelter at best. When Walt sux he is in the game. When Rice sux he is in the game. I mean does he even Rudy even watch the game. WE SHOULD HAVE WON.
Yes, but Peja was not. I think had Steve or Cat played, and the rest of the guys brought the same intensity, we would have won this game. The problem is that Steve and Cat provide about half of the scoring and 80% of the offense.
