Well, at least the Cardinals played the Patriots in September...

That game is the reason the Texans barely still control their own HFA destiny. Looking back, it's arguably the biggest upset of the season. Without it, the Patriots would have the inside track to the 1 seed. If the Cards played at Foxborough today, the Patriots might go Houston-SMU on them, maybe even 100-0.

It didn't hurt that the replacement officials made that controversial game winning field goal call in Baltimore and the Seahawks shocking fourth quarter comeback against New England.

The reason the Texans control their own destiny is because we have handled our business on a weekly basis more times than any other AFC team.

Yep. Glad our worst games (Jacksonville, @Detroit, @Jets, Dolphins, yes the Dolphins) were against teams that they could get away with it against as well as this game and the Packers game.

We are favored by 4.5 points to be the #1 seed in the AFC which is absolutely the best thing we could have hoped for going into the season.

People whining that our QB is weak and our head coach is a poor one lack a little perspective methinks.

I am not saying people are required to ignore the fact we played two pretty bad games in our last three and that we have to be Pollyanna and ignore that if it happens again in the playoffs this season was pretty much for naught. But there really isn't any reason for the whole, "The Sky is Falling" attitude.

I'm sorry, but the best thing we could have hoped for is not getting the #1 seed. The best thing is winning the SB, and if not that, then getting the furthest you possibly can in the playoffs. People aren't "whining" when they say our QB is weak or that our coach makes poor/weird calls for plays; it's the truth. And it's not the realization that the sky is falling, but rather a feeling that if we continue to play like this, then we'll be a one and done team in the playoffs.

I just meant the best thing we could accomplish in the regular season.

Schaub isn't going to be the Best QB in the tournament, Brady and Manning are clearly better in the AFC side of the bracket. Flacco has flashes, Dalton and Luck can do good things....but I don't think any of the three are that much better than Schaub, at least not yet.

Belicheck vs Kubiak is probably a field goal level advantage for the Patriots (as if they needed one)...but that is probably true of most coaches. Coach B's willingness to beat people 60-0 isn't Kubiak's style...but Kubiak is pretty good at beating people 28-17.

We have the best running game and the best defense.

My fear is that everything balances and it comes down to special teams, hopefully home-field can give us an extra boost.

I too am happy we handled our business when we needed to, but its playoff time, and teams that play well now often times play well in the postseason as well. I believe the Texans have another gear in its offense, but im really disappointed in the way our losses have happened...its like the team shut down after 3 quarters and gave up...

Go Texans and let's go bash the Colts in Indy

Yawn, I already owned up to that. There is no best team, it's all about who is playing the best in January. Not even home field advantage means as much as it used to.
