It's July and the NBA is in the midst of the worst, most accursed part of the year. It doesn't get any worse than this. This is the time of year when the NBA section in the local paper consists of a roundup of AP wire stories mashed into one boring little column. I am dreading the day when there are no NBA stories at all in the local news. It's coming and soon. This is the time to learn a new language, take up water skiing, read a book...you know, kill time. This is the time of year when I aimlessly scan the sports websites and the local tv news desperately looking for just a tiny morsel of NBA info. Oh, who am I kidding? I'm looking for ROCKET INFO! What's worse is that local sports radio is all baseball...not that there's anything wrong with that. Well, enjoy the summer hoops fans. God, please speed up the summer. Peace be unto you.
yes there is something wrong with it!!! arggg! Baseball sux! Its boring enough with the slow pace, but now all the records are being broken by guys that are on the juice...its a joke for them to think we don't know. It would be pretty cool if they had the NBDL in the offseason so we would have SOME kind of hoops to watch...or how about they show some foreign games?
It's time to install NBA Live 2001 back on my PC, update the rosters and go 82-0 with the Rockets again!! YAHOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
The only scary thing is that trolls will also be bored, so expect to see trolls a plenty real soon. As for me, I'll be back to work trying to make that extra dollar. Come on NBA season!

Only 18ppg? Wow, Yao's got 19ppg on mine! Seriously though - anyone who hasn't should get a roster patch from someone and take the time to play as the Rockets on NBA Live, just to kill off-season time. The one game I played, Yao and Griff both had triple doubles, with Yao being player of the game - 42pts, 14 rebs, and 11 blocks. No, it wasn't rookie mode, either!
Time to lead my Clippers squad, which includes the likes of Acie Earl, David Benoit, Matt Fish, Steve Hamer and (who else?) Yinka Dare to greatness in NBA Live 97... And, yes, I've gotten Yinka to go for 30 assists in a single game...

Actually, I have been watching them, but I was talking JUST about NBA basketball - not college, not WNBA. NBA is my favorite above all others.
While you guys are on the VG subject. I've created Ming in NBA 2k1 and he gives me a realistic 12 points and 11 boards a game. Of course Nachbar is chipping in with 18 points a game. We're 28-3, just blew the Lakers out of the water...and then almost lost to the Pistons. This game can be so screwy sometimes...
