(1) This alleged applicant wants a job in construction, and I work for an energy company. (2) He has a degree in communications; I work in strategy. (3) No indication he's legal to work in the US. (4) His GPA is a pedestrian 3.0 while taking only 2 classes at a time, and no work experience. (5) I don't have any jobs to fill. (6) The email domain was buy-pinterest-followers.com (7) He's not a real person. I don't know, our email filter stripped off all attachments. YES.
These spammers just collect email addresses. If you reply, they know you are a real person and further spam mail ensues since they know someone will be reading it. Best not to respond. I get a lot of spam email to my business email from random people just saying "Hi, how are you?" for example.
