Yes, that's the actual album cover.
    <object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/YGg_mVBqXVo&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/YGg_mVBqXVo&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>

starts off kind of promising but the chorus blows.

i was going to set the over/under on number of posts it took for someone to make a post like this at 7 posts. i would've taken the under, though.

But it's the truth. I call it The Curious Case of Rivers Cuomo. The music seems to become more lazy and immature as the band grows older.

I like Weezer...especially their old stuff. There are coming to Peoria, IL which is where I live and I was wondering if it would be a waste of money to go.

You can't underestimate Matt Sharp's contribution to the songwriting on the first 2 albums.

The Blue Album was the best rock album of the 90's, IMO. I still listen to it all the time. It just never gets old. Just pure genius from start to finish.

So, Hangout Boy. You really think that the band has gotten better over the years? What's your favorite album? Make Believe? Maladroit is the only halfway-decent thing they have put out since Pinkerton.

Just because you "called it" doesn't mean bmthint's argument isn't valid. Just overstated. Overstated because it is generally what the fans believe.

Please let me know why you think Raditude, Red Album, or Make Believe are better than the Blue Album. I would like to hear your point of view.

It's not laziness though. Rivers writes tons of songs that may never see the light of day, his taste is what's questionable. I didn't like Raditude for the most part, but then I heard the bonus tracks on one of the foreign versions and it was a shame how much better the album could have been.

Here's one that definitely sounds like classic Weezer, especially the guitar solo:

their song on Yo Gabba Gabba rocks

I haven't really enjoyed an album since Pinkerton. Green was okay. I always hope the next album is a return to form, but it never is

did i say they were better? i've enjoyed them all except make believe. didn't buy ratitude. there are just certain topics here which will always garner the same exact response. weezer is one of them.

btw, i wish they could go back to such mature lyrics like "flip on the tele, wrestle with jimmy". so profound.

a rock band who made their mark targetting nerdy teenage angst seems to be losing their touch as they get older?
doesn't make any sense to me...

Although I love the Blue Album and Pinkerton the best, I think all their albums are awesome. Most of their music since Pinkerton is stupid and fun, like Step Brothers instead of Anchorman.

None of it is Land of the Lost or Bewitched though... it's all pretty kick-a__.
