    My Pick:

I have to give it to Mutumbo, this week. 10 points, 15 rebound and 4 blocks for a 42 years old guy is just too good. Also, he played 35 minutes. Early in the season, I thought that he was done, but I was wrong. When he is on the court, he is still better than more than half of the center in the NBA. In the playoffs, he could be one the best backup centers, if Adelman gives him 15-20 minutes consistenly. What impressived me the most was his 10 points! I thought that his guy couldnt score any point anymore.
Mutumbo deserves a player of the week for played great when Yao wasnt there, in the last 2-3 years.

I love Mutumbo, but Scola deserves it more to me. I know sentimental value wants to give it to Mutumbo because of that great game, but I feel he can do this regularly if given the opportunity...in proportion to minutes given of course.

But Scola was the player of the week for me. Always consistently good and able to step it up a notch when needed!

Scola.. I mean Deke did a hell of a job in GS, but Scola was solid for the whole week.

    Scola was definitely consistent.

But you gotta remember guys, Mutombo pretty much, has not played all season. And then you come to him, like 2 hours before game time, asking him to start?

Deke gets my vote. He deserves the PotW more than Scola.

Scola over Yao only because Yao missed the third game and is giving us a scare about health. Yao did put up the best single game performance this week though.

I'm surprised Scola is catching up to Mutombo. I thought Deke would win this in a landslide.

Mutombo deserves this more than Scola. Mutombo had to face Randolph, the best player on the Warriors, currently (with everyone out.)

On sentimental value, Deke wins. But you are comparing or confusing one game with the whole week, which consisted of three games.

Mutumbo wins sentimental player of the game, but even then Scola scored a career high which was imperative for us to win that game.

Scola clearly is the player of the week with Yao missing the last game.

That's true. When you look at stats, Scola is clearly the best. He gives you double-double numbers every single game. He makes those 18-footers consistently, he is great on the post and he runs the break as well as anybody on this team.

What's more, he gives you 110% effort every single game and he competes.

That is why (in my opinion) he is not only the best player of the week, but the best player of the entire season. Gotta give him props.

But to see Mutombo have a 10/15 night especially after not playing for so long was priceless.

Gave my vote to Deke because of his OUTSTANDING performance. But truthfully, I think Von Wafer, has been providing a definitive punch from the bench these last couple of games.

You can't give it to Deke- he only contributed in one game. But I voted for Landry. The guy came back from a gunshot wound and picked up right where he left off. Like DaDakota said, he comes back and we win every game.
