Last week, Scola win a close race between him, Artest and Yao. We also got lot of votes last time, 564 votes. Week 1: Yao Ming Week 2: Aaron Brooks Week 3: Aaron Brooks Week 4: Yao Ming Week 5: Carl Landry Week 6: Yao Ming Week 7: Yao Ming Week 8: T-Mac Week 9: Artest Week 10: Von Wafer Week 11: Von Wafer Week 12: Yao Ming Week 13: Luis Scola Week 14: Luis Scola Week 15: Yao Ming Week 16: Yao Ming Week 17: Luis Scola Week 18: --------- Games Played Last Week: Record: 3-1 VS POR: http://www.nba.com/games/20090224/PORHOU/boxscore.html VS CLE: http://www.nba.com/games/20090226/CLEHOU/boxscore.html @ CHI: http://www.nba.com/games/20090228/HOUCHI/boxscore.html @ MIN: http://www.nba.com/games/20090301/HOUMIN/boxscore.html My Pick: RON ARTEST: Yao and Scola were good, but Artest was a little bit better. Last two games, he was terrific offensively, he scored 27.5 PPG, 59% FG, 9 3 PTM. Defensively, he was also terrific. Against the Blazers and Cavs, he was top notch.
One vote for Ron despite of his questionable decision making at the end of the Chicago game. If he can keep shooting the ball at such a high percentage we can beat anybody in the league.
Gotta be Yao all the way, or a combination of Artest and Battier. That Cleveland game, over any other game in your 4 games of the week is the only game I would look at. That embarassing Chicago game? Artest's fault at the end. He was being Me-Test.
You would think Yao given the Cleveland game, but he was mediocre otherwise. So then Artest, but the end of the Chicago game does stick in your mind. So then you think Scola, and he's been super consistent and hustle, but not blow your socks off awesome...tough one. I think Yao is out. Again, just that one great game, and despite the solid game yesterday, including 6 blocks (yay!), he also had 5 or more turnovers in every game but the Cleveland one. Plus, Scola has shot the ball at an even better % for all 4 games, is grabbing 3 more boards a game, and is scoring 15 to Yao's 19 over those 4. I think Scola is the better big man, surprised Yao is so far ahead of him at this point. Hard to measure Scola's hustle. So between Scola and Artest. I'm going Artest. Solid all around, and the only mediocre offensive game was Cleveland, where his defense was outstanding. Plus, despite the mini last 10 second meltdown against Chicago, that disaster remains the fault of the entire organization as much as any one person.
It has to be Ron Artest this time. He finished around 50% for three point shot, had more than 20 points per game in the last five games, and defended James very well in a critical game.
I didn't know the rox signed a new player. Who is this Carl Lowery guy. Is he like a hybrid morey the wizard made in his cauldron. JK. Awesome thread BTW-Artest all the way. He just carried the team
I wanted to vote for Carl Lowery because I've always had a bias toward laboratory mutants, but I just had to give it to Ron. He's been EN FUEGO lately.
