I can't wait til the end of the regular season so all these hypothetical questions will finally be put to rest. Personally, I'm tired of all these "what ifs" and "maybe we should lose to avoid Utah". That is ridiculous, have some faith in your team. Lets get ready for the playoffs, it doesn't matter who we play, bring anyone on! <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/VXZ1qrdS9Ds&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/VXZ1qrdS9Ds&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
My concern is will the Lakers purposely lose to the Jazz in order avoid playing them and push the Jazz to a possible #7 or #6 against us at #2 or #3?? I am certain the Blazers will beat Nuggets at Portland on Weds. Or at least has a better advantage. But the Mavs can watch tomorrow's game between the Lakers vs Utah and decide if they have to win their last game or not. There are just so many scenarios that can play out that it's still hard to determine who is going where. But i am certain that Rockets will capture...i repeat WILL CAPTURE #2 spot if they beat Dallas in their last game. I said this because i don't see Nuggets beating the hot TrailBlazers especially at Portland. I also know the Jazz will play their heart out in their last game against the Lakers because they know that if they beat the Lakers, they will MOVE UP because they know New Orleans and Dallas have some tough opponents.
Sorry to burst your bubble- but it really does matter who we play. Oh- the video is really good. I kinda wish it was longer. I can't even remember the last video montage posted by ClutchCityReturns...
We can match up with anybody except the Lakers and the Jazz who has given us problems, but that doesn't mean they can't be beaten. Yea I couldn't find that many highlight mixes, and this was the most recent one I found.
Here's the scary scenerio: Lakers purposely lose to the Jazz (and it's possible because they want to rest their players or they don't want the Jazz). ....then Houston beat Dallas and Portland beat Nuggets (these are very likely to happen). So Houston capture #2 spot and play the Jazz at #7. Dallas #8 for losing to Houston. New Orleans beat Spurs and stay at #6!! New Orleans have been playing bad and i think they will pour their heart out in their last game against a depleted Spurs.
Cool vid but the clip of McGrady at the beginning is from last season while the guy in the background is referring to the injury from this season. Not sure why the video owner didn't grab one of the numerous clips from this season showing a hobbled McGrady. There is also a missing word in the Adelman comment. Other than that, the editing and sound are excellent.
DUDE!!! Nice work! D@mn we have some talented people on this board!! I am pumped after watching that. Do the playoffs start tomorrow??!!! Do they??!!! Now???!!! Can't wait! it's gonna get nasty, but man I'm really liking the group we have right now!
Then so be it. I just want us to win and have homecourt advantage. Let the rest take care of itself. We can't be scared of any team its the playoffs, there aren't gonna be any free rides. Its going to be hard work no matter what team we face. But I'm kinda hopin your "scary scenario" plays out and we face the Jazz. Yes we all know the Rox have matchup problems against the Jazz and "theres no way we can beat them in Utah". No team is unbeatable. They beat us the first year cause of horrible rebounding on our part (we beat ourselves) and last year without Yao and Rafer for half the series
phil jackson has already said he will not rest his starters against the jazz, he may not play them as extensively though. i am sure he will give bynum some more run to get him into better shape. even then the jazz may not be able to win they did play tonight but who knows really. had this game been on the road i think jackson would have rested his starters but jackson said that he thinks its unfair to the people who bought tickets in LA to come to a game and not see their stars play and he does have an obligation to the ticket holders. i'll post the link when i find it, but i remember reading this earlier on yahoo sports
haha yea I noticed that, maybe he was one of the many Tracy worshippers who didn't want to relive the infamous Milwaukee meltdown when watching the video
The Lakers have nothing to lose.... The jazz have everything to lose, if they lose they get LA round 1, who they would have just lost to.... see my point?
Oh no i am not scared of the Jazz. It wasn't like they blow us out in Playoffs. They're all close game and it could have gone either way. Because they won both series, it gives them that feel good factor...but to be scared of them?? No, actually it's more like tire of seeing them. They're not any better than us...in fact i think we're a better team...we're just not healthy.
Yea I do, this board is filled with so many scared people. We took the Jazz to 6 games last year without Yao. This year we have Yao+Artest+better bench support-McGrady. We are a better all around team this year with more motivation. Last year nobody expected us to beat Utah without Yao. See my point?
Yea I understand haha, it has been tiresome facing them 2 years in a row, but only because of the end results.
