IMO, C-Webb wants to go East where he can dominate. Orlando is his favored destination, but Sacramento has to agree to a sign and trade. Ric Bucher said this morning the Kings want Grant Hill. I think its a lock if the Magic include Hill. To answer your question, Webber will play for the Magic. ------------------
Webber is staying is Sacramento or his second option is the Pacers ------------------ ***FRANCHISE***
Well junior I realize there has been a lot of webber threads but I just wondered what peoples(honest opinions as opposed to any crazy speculation) were now that the signing period has started. So if you didn't like it you could have just stayed out of the thread. BTW..I think he will remain in sac. ------------------ [This message has been edited by DAROckets (edited July 01, 2001).]
I think the Kings put themselves in a good position by getting Bibby. Now, CWebb knows they are serious about winning and could be inclined to stay. If not, chances are very good that they'll be able to swing a sign-and-trade and get some good value for him. If that's the case, they could potentially survive a CWebb exodus. ------------------ www.SportsRant.net
As long as the Lakers have Shaq and Kobe playing at the top of their game, its going to be tough (nearly impossible) to knock them out in the playoffs. Bibby is an improvement, but is that enough? I believe C-Webb is going to be unhappy in Sacramento. ------------------
Orlando isn't trading Grant Hill. I'm taking bets on it if anyone's up for it... Orlando, thus, will only be able to get Webber through an outright signing. More likely Davis goes to Orlando than Webber. ------------------
I agree, but I don't think his knock on Sac has ever been their chances of winning, but the social situation. Look for Webb to head east:The Apple or Disney ------------------ The title will come to ClutchCity once again.
Chris Webber has made me sick. I'm sick of his stupid crying about going to the east. What, can't play with the big boys in the west? "Waaahhhhh waaaahhhhh I want to go to the east so I can get some east wins waaahhh wahhhh!" Shut up. ------------------ [This message has been edited by RocketKid (edited July 02, 2001).]
Look Kid Webb never said that. He has listed Houston, Sac, NY, Orlando, and Indiana as choices. I think he picked 3 of the 5 choices here, not because they are in the East, but that they are all good teams, or at least will be title-contenders with him there. Besides that, who wouldn't want to go East, That is if you want to win a title. ------------------ The title will come to ClutchCity once again.
I think if he wants to win...he stays out of the East, but i really don't see a team in the West that fits what he wants: 1) Playoff team 2) Has a good center 3) Could use a scoring PF 4) Can beat the Lakers in a 7 game series I know it sounds crazy, but he may be in the BEST spot for him. The Kings are the only team in the West that fit (all but 4). All he can do is re-sign and hope to attract a scoring free agent, hope the scorers on his team have more experience to be better, and sign some fouls for Shaq (Role-playing posts). Or...he goes to the Sixers, because that would be a GOOD fit. ------------------ Take the blue pill, and wake up from the computer dream world. I'm a fan of basketball, and knowing the truth for some means finally facing it...I'm TRUTH.
Now that they've got Bibby, I think Webber will stay in Sacto. Orlando and Houston are both going in other directions. Detroit sucks, and NY couldn't facilitate a sign and trade. ------------------ "Oh No..." -Bill Walton in 97 just before Stockton's buzzer beater
I think Sactown. But, I think he'll regret it. ------------------ "norm, would you like to buy an indian scalp ? This deal isn't gonna make or break me Norm, so don't jerk me around." Harry Carey "Norm, if I had a mohawk scalp, I wouldn't be sitting here talking to you."
Pacers...his buddy Jalen will push to get a sign and trade. There's a good chance he may remain in boring old Sactown with Bibby coming to town. The city may suck, but the team is pretty solid...too bad its in the West with the Lakers. Get Geiger (great Hack-A-Shaq player) playing in the West and other teams may have a chance with Shaq. ------------------
