From today's NY Post - http://www.nypost.com/sports/knicks/42402.htm. Webber's brother says he loves NY, but won't play center, which he'd have to do if Camby was traded.

The Rockets really don't have either, not if they are going to get Webber. Franchise isn't a veteran PG (yet), and while Dream could be considered a perennial all-star, he's likely gone if Webber comes to Houston.

Looking at the other teams after a potential trade for Webber/signing outright:

    Detroit...no veteran PG, 1 perennial all-star (Stackhouse)
    NY...veteran PG (Jackson), 1 perennial all-star (Sprewell)
    Orlando...veteran PG (Armstrong), 1-2 perennial all-stars (Hill, soon-to-be McGrady)
Indiana...veteran PG (if Rose plays PG), no more perennial all-stars
Sacramento...no veteran PG, no other perennial all-stars

Just an interesting tidbit, I suppose.

Edited to fix URL and add that the comments do suggest NY, they are the only team that fits the bill exactly.

    Found this link -

    http://newyorkpost.com/sports/knicks/42402.htm

    - According to Jeff, his older brother prefers to play with a veteran point guard and one other perennial All-Star.

    What team is this?

That's all true, but Webber has also said that he won't make his determination based on what the team has now, because that changes. I mean how long will Jackson be there? This is a decision he needs to project out over 5 years. Sprewell and Webber will be that whole team for a long time. Personally, I think Houston has a much brighter future at this point. Especially if we get someone like Battier or Brown.

The thread title should be changed to:

"Webber - someone to carry me through the playoffs desired"

    Or

"Webber - injury to Shaq and Duncan desired"

    Or, last but not least

    "Webber - extra timeout desired"

Just an off the wall thought, but could SA make a trade for Webber happen. I know they probably wouldn't trade the Admiral but if they could slide Duncan to C and move C-webb into PF. Any other slaries they could package to make a S&T work?
I know I'm just probably Dreamcasting, but I think C-webb is going to end up on a team where he is a very hi-profile supporting player. I've heard people mention the Lakers before (mostly when the Kobe-Shaq fued was happening) and the Magic with McGrady-Hill.
