Word is that Webber and his family seriously want to go to Indiana and that his agent is in serious talks with Pacers management. Webber loves Isiah Thomas and would love to play for the Pacers. In fact Indiana is in the lead for Webber's service over Sacramento allegedly.

I heard this early today, and it seems that the discussions have heated up between Webber and Indiana the last few days. I'm surprised anybody else hasn't reported it, but Webber practically admitted it. That's why he came out with the statement saying he hadn't agreed to anything with Sacramento.

Man, how ironic is this, as soon as I typed that, Fox radio is finally reporting that Webber is interested in Indiana, and is meeting family there!

This is good news. Webber heading East is favourable for the Rocks. Any word on who the Pacers will send over to Sactown? It's unlikely the Kings will be able to compete with us if they lose Webber and even if they acquire the young guys, Bender, O'Neal, Croshere, we'll probably still be stronger.

Mr. President. No man thinks more highly than I of three legged cows. They deserve to live. On my own part, I consider it as nothing less than a question of reason. Cows with three legs are good. We are apt to shut our eyes against a painful truth : three-legged cows are better. They are better because the meat on them is better. The steaks are more tender. Three-legged cows tend not to wander as much. These cows could be the symbol of our country. The world would look upon us with great respect. They will want our cows and pay good money for them. The cows could symbolize freedom and hard work and three legs are better than four. They are meant for us; they can be meant for no other.

I heard a few weeks ago, I don't know if it still holds true, that whatever the deal was that we originally heard in the Sacramento/Indiana talks will be the same deal. I would be surprised if Croshere didn't go over, and Jermaine O'Neal. If Sacramento could find a way to keep O'Neal they would be in AWESOME shape! Their only hope of that is if the Kings want to keep cap space to make a run for Carter or Duncan in a year or two.

Donnie Walsh said that Jermaine O'Neal would be a deal-breaker, so don't expect him to go. Croshere, yes, I could see that, but they would need to make the deal fairly large so that Croshere's 75% BYC wouldn't screw up the deal. Maybe Derrick McKey? (whose contract ends after this year anyway). And maybe Harrington or Bender. That would be kinda fair, considering Webber doesn't want to stay in Sacramento. Croshere in a starting role would play much better than in the rotation roulette of last year.

Like ROXTXIA, I have also seen Pacer management quoted as stating O'Neill is a deal breaker.

Bender, Croshere & McKey works in RealGM, but those are last years' salaries and BYC. Larger issue in my mind - do the Kings place much value on Croshere? The Kings don't have to accept a S&T. If the Kings push back, Webber is down to Detroit and Houston.

The Kings management and Webbers' FA team have been very professional. I wonder if it will ever get dirty or like a soap opera?

If Indiana doesn't deal away O'Neal then they'll be in great shape, with him and Webber on the front line. Good enough to contend with for the 1 seed with Philly and perhaps Orlando.

CWebb to Indy would make them favorites to win the East IMO. Rose, Miller, CWebb, and O'Neal is a deadly lineup. Then you have Best at PG and Harrington off the bench. Very solid, but kind of empty after that.

Getting something for CWebb may be better than having him leave. There have been talks that he would even sign a one year deal for a lot less money (I don't think he would do this though). Bender is young and has potential and Croshere is a solid PF. At least the Kings get something.

I've always been a Webber fan and I hope he does go to the Pacers. If not the Pacers then he'll probably be back in a Kings uniform.

Webber to Indiana would be kinda cool. I wish he would sign for their exception, but who thinks that will happen? Survey says...? X X X

I don't know what the team would look like in 2 years w/o Reggie Miller; I guess Rose at the 2, Harrington at the 3 (if Bender is gone).
