    "Webber: I'll show Magic, Hill

Chris Webber is settling in for the duration with the Sacramento Kings, but he isn't forgetting those who refused to show appreciation for his talents during last summer's free-agency period.

Webber pointed the finger at the Houston Rockets, saying maybe they didn't think he was serious about them, but he really was.

But Webber really has it in for the Orlando Magic, who snubbed him and went after Antonio Davis. "Tiger Woods was on what's-his-name's, uh, Antonio Davis' doorstep at 12 a.m.," Webber said with a smirk. "They went and visited my man at 12 and all that. I was like, 'OK, y'all have him.' That's what I said. I know Tracy McGrady wanted me there.

"I'll leave it at that. I just did a commercial with him before I signed here. So I think maybe other players didn't want me there. Or maybe another player there didn't want me there?"

    Who would that be?

"I'll let the readers determine that," he said, fingering Grant Hill without mentioning his name."

I'm even happier now that the Rockets didn't get Webber. What a jackass! Maybe if he would've actually made up his mind and said "I want to go to Orlando" or "I want to go to Houston", those two teams wouldn't have gotten restless and focused on Antonio Davis and Maurice Taylor, respectively, instead. I know playing in Sacramento is definitely not a bad thing, as they are very good too, but Webber is coming across as sounding jealous that he doesn't get to play with Hill and TMac or Steve and Cuttino.

What a whiner. I'm glad we didn't get him. The idiot never gave any clear signals last year & wanted to play games in the FA market. He got the most money that he could get, but apparently he wanted some team to gut itself to get him. Get over it Webber.

I wonder what this will do to the team chemistry, if he keeps whining like this? He's giving me the impression that he doesn't want to be there. Anyone want to make a guess as to how long it'll be before he demands a trade?

Well, up until now, I was glad we didn't get Webber...but now I don't know. The elegance of this statement is too awe-inspiring to shun this great man. To think that we, Houston as a city, will now miss out on this man's silver-tongue is simply too much to bear. Damn you, Rudy! Damn you for not giving this great, great man millions and millions of dollars for years and years!

He sounds like someone who is very bitter about his situation. He didn't want to go back to Sacramento, and he's taking out his frustration on the teams who didn't court him. He wants to make them "pay" for keeping him in Sacramento.

If he really wanted out of Sacramento, why didn't he just sign an one year deal? Things will open out for him next year, possibly with Washington or LAC.

OOOOhhhhh, we're SO scared! Webber and his 7-17 playoff record is coming to get us! Hey Webber, you may have been serious about us, but we weren't serious about you! Now why don't you, and your merry band of chokers go disappear in a playoff series and let us get on with the business of building a serious title contender.

Oh, no. Now he's weeley gonna kill us! I so fwightened.

The Rockets will be Chris Webber's b****.

...uhh...so what? We were his b**** last year. Hey, weren't the Kings the only ones to sweep the Rockets last year? Figures. He's telling the media that he will kill Houston whenever we play them. Come on Chris, the only reason you're saying that is because you know it's possible. He wouldn't say that about the Magic.

We've got a new kid in town. We're gonna put our new rookie on him. Griffin is gonna b*tch slap Webber. :D

Chris Webber is the biggest loser in the NBA. He's been cursed to loserdom ever since he called that nonexistent timeout in the NCAA finals...

Webber's just a big loser. Seems like he's made it his goal to try and take out the playoff fringe Rockets instead of a team like San Antonio or the Lakers, who whooped his ass in the playoffs. If he wants to try and pick on the Rockets that's fine, Wink, Cat and Co. won't back down. Bring it on CWebb.

I, personally, had wanted to see us get Webber, but not at the price of gutting our whole team. I really think that CD might have made a push for him if he hadn't been misled by that old fart, Olajojawan (what was his name again? GOD, I MISS HIM!!).

Sounds like to me that Webber knows that he will never beat the Lakers as long as they have Shaq and Kobe & he wants to take some solace in beating someone. So, why not pick a team that is up and coming and that you swept last season?

Gotta to hand it to that Webber: he's friggin' brilliant!!

Him calling that phantom timeout when he was at Michigan brought on this joke. I don't know if the guy who told it to me made it up on his own or he heard it somewhere. Any way here it goes:

What does Chris Webber and Bozo the Clown have in common?
Answer: They are both bald and they do stupid things for no apparent reason.

Hopefully we aren't that bad of defensive rebounders.

Giving 5 offensive boards on one possession is almost as bad as giving up the basket.

Everybody go circle the games on the schedule in which Sacramento plays the handful of teams Webber thinks dissed him. Those are the games in which he'll actually show up to play.

We thought we needed to win more games than that. So we signed other players instead. No offense, Chris. We just prefer to try to win regardless of whom we're playing. That's how we got this thing called a championship. Oh, never mind.

I dont understand the hating of Webber going on here. So the mans p.o ed that some teams didnt go after him, and is voicing it. How is that any worse than defending a player who dissed a franchise and an entire country while telling their fans to get over it? Who here if in Webbers shoes, who is one of the top 3 "overall" players in the NBA wouldnt be pissed if you were told not to go to X team because they think your cocky? Why label him a cry baby now? Id think much much less of Webber if he didnt speak out on his behalf.

Might I add one more thing. Webber on the Rockets make them a legit title contender. A 1-2 punch of him and Francis would be almost a wash of Shaq and Kobe. If any one here tells me the Rox are a better team without Webber, Im going to tell them to put the Marion Barry pipe down.

Webber doesn't know was coming to him. I can see it now, Francis dunking on his face, and mobley crossing him over. We're two and his one. He has a the power, we have the speed, Williams is out and we have Rice to shoot the 3. Your going down Webber!

Webber's still better than Stevie, Cat or Griff will ever be.

I'd still want him on this team.

I know if he was here, we wouldn't be talking about a 5 seed, we'll be talking about a championship run. Think about this Webber, Cat, Francis, and whoever at the other spots. Thats a champioship nucleus now, not in 3 or 4 yrs

Funny how Webber was the greatest player in the world when we had a shot at him, and he's not suddenly a loser.
