I'm working with a home builder on his website and he now wants to incorporate "Virtual Tours" of his property on the site. He really doesn't know how to go about doing this and, of course, neither do I. He sent me a link to a website that sells software that does this... http://www.easypano.com/#

Does anyone know what is the easiest way to incorporate this using mainly Dreamweaver & basic HTML, or is there certain software that must be used to do this?

Thanks a ton fo any help.

    mogrod,

If you are using the virtual tour to promote directly off the MLS listing, then I believe HAR requires you to use specific software.

If you are just using it on a builder's website, i would recommend using your own application to save money, as the software you will find on the net is kind of a rip off IMO.

Here is the site my wife used to use:

    Yeah, some are good. http://www.toyota.com/vehicles/2005/tacoma/int360.html

Usually, there are companies doing this for you with APPLETs in JAVA or FLASH animations. (http://www.campustours.com/) These are expensive, though. I'd recommend doing it yourself. That way, you learn.

Some software can let you do QuickTime movies that are panoramic. All you need is QuickTime Pro, I think, to make VR panoramas: http://www.apple.com/quicktime/tools_tips/tutorials/immersive.html

    You can do it yourself.

I used to use a program from IBM called HotMedia which allowed HotSpots and URLs to go to a place when you clicked on, for example, a door in the picture. (http://www.ibm.com/hotmedia/) -> example: http://www.thebeijingguide.com/shanghai_bund/index.html

So when do we get started...? ;)
