I need to start having web-mediated presentations and conversations. Is the Adobe.com "ConnectNow" software as simple and effective as they claim? Do you folks have other, easy software you solutions you suggest for this? Thanks! [cue: "cool question, bro"]
Our company uses GoToMeetings (http://www.gotomeeting.com/fec/?Action=rgoto&_sf=1) and it seems to work pretty well. Don't really know much about the market though.
We us http://webex.com/ at my job. I'm not sure what features you need but it works pretty well for us.
I used to use webex. It is very simple, but apparently it is kind of pricey for the company so we switched to verizon something or the other.
Adobe offers this free thing but of course I cannot get it to work. None of the pages I'm supposed to be able to access to set up a meeting are actually accessible. It seems incapable of recognizing me as a "meeting organizer," even though I now own the "meeting room" with my name on it. Kind of... frustrating. I guess I'll look into the pay option!
There's a new one called chatroullete, and it's free! My second recommendation is WebEx too, if you're conferences don't involve looking at male dongs.
DISCLAIMER - not trying to sell it!! We use LotusLive. Not sure how it compares price-wise to WebEx or gotomeeting.com.
My company uses GoToMeeting and have had no problems with it. We use it in a modified support role, where we create a meeting, let the user join, and then have them turn control of their PC over to us for the troubleshooting.
Have you tried Go To Assist? It's the same thing but geared more towards support (only one-on-one conferencing). You can transfer files and the chat function is a lot better in my opinion.
Mikogo.com is a free one. Glance.net is my favorite. Users enter a ~5 digit code that you establish upon beginning the session...
