http://www.suntimes.com/news/blogen...D95&bbParentWidgetId=B8k88rWwXopuz5STgLeVwBLu The story seemed to change. I am just wondering,...if anyone has caught Obama "sometimes" wearing the American flag lapel pin? ....
Unfortunately there are idiots who will base their vote on such a "topic" Not saying you're one of them ROX.
I give a crap. If he chooses not to...great. I also think his reasoning is dumb, but that's me... However, ...it becomes the topic when you change your reasoning...I feel uncomfortable with a leader who can not commit to a declared and specified postion on an issue...We kinda see it with the Wright relationship, as well as the lapel pin. It is a developing weakness from him...
So Clinton is a bad president because he got a blow job and McCain will be a great president because he wears a lapel.
Yes, this trait only seems to apply to Obama No politician has ever went back on a declared and/or specified position Only conservatives can get all Doug Niedermeyer over a lapel pin.
American flag lapel pins keep terrorists away... Obama must like terrorists sometimes. Yay ultranationalism... I'm proud to say I live in a country where I can say... "F*** *** BUSH" and not get arrested... oh... and "F*** *** lapel pins... you poke holes in my shirts!"
Does wearing a pin, really say what kind of a patriot a person is? Does it say that more than serving as a civil rights lawyer, and actually fighting for our citizens rights on the front lines? Does it say more about his patriotism than being involved in govt. and serving the people of this nation for years? Does it say more than sacrificing privacy, time, family privacy, and leisure time, and possibly even safety to serve the nation as President? Somehow despite all of that wearing a stupid lapel pin matters? Him not wearing it makes all the sense in the world. He won't wear it to pander to people who think that it matters, but recently when a veteran whom he was talking with gave him one, he did wear it, because it actually had a significant meaning in that instance. As far as the bolded part, I can't see how that matters since wearing the lapel pin isn't an issue, and no matter what stance he takes doesn't matter since it isn't an issue to begin with.
I live in Austin. Hardly anyone wears clothing that would have lapels, most of the time. ROX, would it be all right if Barack got his nose pierced and put one there? Impeach Bush.
Unfortunately, I'm not proud of the fact this same country has many, many people who will be electing the highest position on their government based on lapel pins. It's sad just thinking about it...
So the "issues" now are lapel pins and candidates' former pastors? When was the last time there was a thread about healthcare?
What's he embarrassed about? Why can't he just wear it? It's not the fact that he doesn't wear it, it's the fact that he has a problem with wearing it.
This type of **** makes me think democracy is ****ing r****ded. If this matters to you - you don't deserve to vote. period.
He doesn't wear it, because unfortunately idiots started using whether someone wears a silly lapel pin as a measure to judge patriotism. Like most rational minded people he saw that was silly, so he didn't wear it unless there was a special reason.
So it's only convenient for him to wear it when he's shamed into wearing one by a war vet. Got it. Just like he'll only rebuke Jeremiah Wright when it's politically convenient.
