Might as well start something for those among us who can see beyond their noses while we try to endure a full week of whining and moaning by everyone else...

We will make the playoffs. In spite of tonight's game, we will make the playoffs. And we will make some serious noise WHEN we get there.

No need to be superstitious about it. Just think how good we're going to look when all these "fire JVG" whiners start eating crow in April. :)

Unless you are receiving a paycheck from the organization, "we" are just a bunch of folks posting on a message board.

The Rockets still have a chance of making the playoffs, but it is much more likely they will not.

WOW, a thread that doesn't want to fire the coach and/or get rid of all the players!

I'll go along as well. Suns are a better team, plan and simple. Tonight is what you get when one team doesn't show up AT ALL, and the other team puts on the best all around shooting performances I've ever seen.

This loss is HORRIBLE but we come back after the break, hopefully make a nice trade or two, but even if we don't I like our chances if we stay healthy. But, we HAVE TO get TMac out of his funk.

What now, you're disowning your home team because of a loss? Shows what kind of fan you are. ;)

He has a good point that you can't see because all you care about is tonight's loss -- as long as we can keep winning at a 75% rate we'll be on pace to make the playoffs. And that's where we're at - 3 out of 4, 6 out of 8. Next week is another week.

Insight isn't really that hard to muster, ya know. :)

It's a win win situation as far as Im concerned. Oooooh were gonna have a higher draftpick? Cry me a river. Injuries did this to us, not bad coaching...

    We are a playoff team.

We just got blown out of the gym by the Suns and they were the ones coming off the back-to-back. Sad.

That said, our next 2 games after the all-star break would be clippers and suns at home, right?

This is going to be one tough stretch.

    But...

    GO ROCKETS.

Playoff? I cannot imagine a team lost by 100 points when they are 22-30 would ever make the freakin' playoff.

Screw the media, screw ESPN's power rankings next week when they drop us 5 spots. We're still on pace to make the playoffs. Whether we win or lose by 50 or 1, a W is a W, an L is an L. We are *still* on track, and we will make it.

One loss will not make me lose faith in this team. We will make it and do some serious damage when we get there!

I'm not losing hope either. But you really have to admit that the odds are not in our favor. I really like some of the people on this team, and MAN do we lack the fire/heart/passion. I am SO SICK of reading JVG's comments after ever other game, litterally, about how this team has no heart. I'm not doubting that, because I've seen it often this year. I can understand being discouraged, but this team really doesn't seem to have much passions. I wish Sura were back, and I wish we had another big spark on our team, or someone to light a fire under the players' butts.

There's no question the odds aren't in our favor. And there's no question we still got a lot of work to do. But dangit, we're still on track. We haven't fallen behind.

Sure we have. That's another half-game of ground we've lost to the Lakers.

The suns gambled had a game plan- they just took Yao out of the game. That left McGrady to do the lifting- sadly tonight was not one of his nights.
Think about it- if Tracy was on, this would not be the same result.

In a masochistic way- I think this is good for us. Just reminding us that it will not be easy- but perhaps it will get people to hustle a bit more.

Too bad - added to Tracy's physical issues he has to deal with personal problems.

We will meet in Houston- in less than a week.

I just dont understand how Van Gundy can be blamed for this loss- with a pathetic FG% every team will lose. We will make the playoffs- No doubt about that.

I keep going back to '95 when no-one gave the Rockets a chance in hell, but they proved everyone wrong and claimed the glory that they deserved. We have the talent to make it and i know we will. It's really easy to get discouraged, hell i'm gutted right now. But the plan is to win 2/3 (3/4?) until the end of the season-which we are doing.

Hopefully we'll also avenge this loss next week when they come here.
