    Although the Los Angeles Lakers won yesterday and we lost, we still have hope. The Pheonix Suns lost to the Toronto Raptors yesterday. If we can win at least 3 of the next 4 games against the Memphis Grizzlies, Boston Celtics, New York Knicks, and Washington Wizards, we may still have a chance to be #8. Los Angeles could be #7 because they are probably going to win their next 4 games against the Seattle SuperSonics, Los Angeles Clippers, Detroit Pistons, and the Supersonics again. We may still have a chance if the Pheonix Suns lose more than 2 times in their next 4 games against Minnesota and Milwaukee.

    WE STILL HAVE HOPE!!!

    We all knew that the Lakers were going to make it. I think they are going to do what the Rockets did in '94 as a 6th seed. I think we can definitely squeeze into the 8th spot, but its going to take until the last few weeks of the seasons to determine who is in and whose out.

    Phoenix is fading away like what they did in the last season. The two Ms logged too many minutes and they can not hold. Amare is having off-court problems as predicted by people before the draft.

    8th won't do us much good. We need 7th, its as simple as that. If we can make it to the 2nd round, then I can gurantee a trip to the WCF next year.

    I just think the experience that we get in the playoffs,win or lose, will be good for this young team.Lets face it we are not going to beat Dallas. We just need to make the playoffs and I sure as hell don't want to give the Griz a lottery pick!!;)

    Even 7th, we won't make it to the 2nd round. We will win one game in the first round, and that's if we're lucky.

    Getting sweeped in the playoffs would be perfect for this team.

    We won and Phoenix didn't play, so we're exactly HALF a game behind Phoenix, with 3 games AWAY but against the EAST coming up.

    If we can go 2-1, and Phoenix go 1-2, that would put us half a game behind them.

    Their schedule:

    @Minnesotta
    @Chicago
    @Milwaukee (Home of Gary Payton)

    If they lose to Minny and Milwaukee, we could be very close, and our schedule the rest of the way is better. GOOD LUCK!

    Suns might have a tougher schedule ahead of us....... I think there's one thread that point the tough games out..... though I seen it myself (never counted the game) and it really seems that they have a harder time coming up....lots of playoff teams......

    Rockets need to win whatever they can, beat those below .500 team and steal some win from playoff teams here and there, they will be in the playoff then.......

    No, the one having tougher schedule than us is Utah Jazz. Phoenix have a tougher schedule in the 1st half of the season but we are the opposite. Never mind though. Maybe they have more problems vs losing teams than winning teams just like us. ;)

    Funny thing is I bet everybody on the Rockets are looking at other teams schedules as well trying to get into the playoffs. I say don't worry about other teams records but just take care of your own business. If they played hard everyday and not worried about phoenix LA or Utah losing I'd be satisfied.

    Steve Francis should sit when Rox face sub-.500 teams.

    Steve Francis should lead the Rox when facing playoff teams.

    YM should sit when facing the Mavs. Well, there ain't any Dallas game left this season until the playoff.

    The bottom line is whenever a player comes out big but the team lose, he should sit under similar situation in the future until he learn how to WIN.

    Careful having hope or optimism on this board. It is more popular here to predict doom and blow up the team and fire Rudy. Trade everyone off except maybe for Yao Ming.

    Of course we still have hope. Shaq might break his leg, Kobe tear hi ACL, KG break his arm, Malone have a heart-attack, etc. I think I'm seeing light at the end of the tunnel! Really though, all we have to do is beat out the Suns or JAzz for a spot in the play-offs.

    FINLEY MIGHT GET INJURED!!! Nash might faint because of playing too much! Nowitzki might be homesick. Anything can happen. Really...we can make the playoffs.

    Luckily, if we get in, we own Dallas.

    I think our guards would be tired first...they play just about all game....compared to van Exel who takes over for nash who usually doesnt need to play all game cause his team kills the oppositon by 3rd quarter.
