Ping Pong Balls that is. The question is, how many balls. What is the breakdown and how does it effect the order of the draft? Is it just the first selection that is determined by the balls. I can't remember because it's changed a bit over the years and as Rocket worshiper I have little experience with the lottery. On another note, just because we might not pick in the top 5 doesn't mean that we won't get a quality player from the draft. Rudy has had great success pulling players out of his a**. How many people thought that KT was a bust. I beleive like most of you that we will end up with a big FA or make a big trade. If this happens then whatever we land in the draft is just gravy. A team can only have so many go to guys. It seams that we have about 1 1/2, 1 more (TD ) ought to do it. The bottom line is this. Players in the NBA love to live in Houston, they would love to play for a coach like Rudy, and most would like to paly with an exciting young backcourt like we have. We don't have to hope for a player like Kurt Thomas or any other East coast refugees. We probably have more leverage when it comes to picking up players than any other team in the league. Everyone around here should be patient and trust RT and CD. They have done pretty good so far. ------------------
