I agree. We definitely should have overpaid for an unproven backup center. I mean, the guy can do a between the legs dunk in the warm up line!

This thread fails at so many levels:

a) It has been already posted
b) You want us to get a guy because he can do some dunk
c) Even if we offered him the most we could, Magic would have matched

 

We should have never let James White go.

 

Gortat would have been more valuable this season maybe, but in the long run I think Ariza was more than worth it for the same value.

Gortat is great. One option in the off-season could be to trade for him if Orlando makes him available. His averages only look low because he's playing behind Dwight Howard and hardly gets any PT.

I was expecting Gortat to screw up or "McGrady" the dunk.

but don't discount the fact that we could very well be in the playoffs right now if we did sign gortat..legit-sized 5, good defender and serviceable on offense..our most glaring need all season..

 

that dunk is very impressive for a guy 6'11. i dont think dwight or KG could dunk like the POLISH HAMMER.

 

That should tell you something right there about how valuable this skill is then. Our best players are Brooks, Scola, and Martin.
