We still might have a shot at landing Josh smith. We need a true backup center as well as a small forward. Mainly we just need chemistry and desire. Curious, I never understood why yao always takes the ball out and then runs all the way back down court. How come a guard or forward does not do take the ball out? I think that would save yao some energy.
Why would we want Josh Smith? There are plenty of things this team needs and it is almost nothing he does
HueyNewton, good to see you posting again my man. You'll be happy to know that most people are finally coming to the realization that Battier is a scrub. I remember when leebigez brought up Al Jefferson as somebody the Rockets should target, an idea I supported, he was shot down by the usual haters. Houston should've definitely went after AJ. I would take Josh Smith too...You can find a place for a guy like that on this team.
Not a very good suggestion...first of all, we already have a back up center in Miller. Second, none of those players listed alone will get you Smith or AJ. Third, Yao should already be under the rim, so there's no problem with him taking the ball out. It allows the team to try and push it before the defense sets. The perimeter players are better off releasing the other way, rather than walking to the hoop to take the ball out.
I feel confident that any multi-player deal will include Shane. But I also felt confident that we'd move up in the last draft.
Yeah because we don't need rebounding, defense or blocked shots right? I never understood why people get on here and talk like they know anything about basketball. This is probably one of the dumbest posts i've seen.... You should get your stuff together before you make stuiped comments rhino
At this point, I'd probably be a fan of bringing in Josh Smith to start at SF. We need that one guy that can intimidate somebody defensively, and with his 1.22 spg, 3.22 bpg, and 9.4 rpg, Josh Smith would certainly bring that to this team. Just make sure we don't give him the ball much on offense.
Why not, he'd be a matchup-nightmare for opponents, he can post-up on SFs and get a lot of easy points.
I dont think he has a good post up game. Plus, he takes bad shots on offense (usually jumpers he's not capable of hitting consistently.)
You're an idiot. That is all. Seriously, why would just put AJ? You had me, and others apparently, thinking a football guy.
