Many of you think Calvin is obnoxious and what not but I love them and truly think their the best basketball commentator duo in the league.Lakers owner Jerry Buss and even Michael Jordan have both said they enjoy watching the rocks games because of Bill and Calvin. Bill and Calvin may not be the best basketball "analysts" in the business and thats being nice but the fact of the matter is commentators are inconsequential to the game and the less they say the better. Also their on air arguments are hilarious. I know your probably thinking why is this in the NBA forum but the reason is I'm currently watching the Jazz-Denver game and the jazz's motor mouth commentator is givin me a damn headache because he says EVERY DAMN thing that happens on the court and like many of these superficial commentators gets way too excited at a play not as spectacular as you would think by the tone of his voice. Bill and Calvin's simplicity is a welcome sight to an NBA fan like me who has seen way too much of these fake analysts like steve albert just to name a few. Also despite the fact I hate Bill Walton as an NBC guy he is funny as hell as a clippers play by play guy.

agreed on walton. dude has a way of poking fun at his own players which lends a bit of objectivity.

as for hot rod (i believe that's the jazz color man), he is a motor mouth. but it doesn't bother me too much. in fact, when i lived in houston, i used to mute out calvin and bill and turn up gene peterson. it was a little overbearing at times, but it was ok. the coolest thing was how gene always called the result of the shot before it actually touched the rim on tv!
