Cato is filling in nicely at 4, but foul trouble is going to be a major problem when we start playing better teams.

I believe there was a point last night in the first half where Cato, Taylor, and Braggs all had 3 fouls. Instead of exploiting that, the Bulls were content in playing selfish ball and going into the half down by 20. Real teams won't pull that. They will attack our big men to fully exploit that weakness.

During that same situation, Yao was forced to stay on the floor while exhausted due to not having a backup. There's no way he can keep that up for long.

Hurry up Eddie. We need the depth.

Do you honestly thinking Braggs and Amaechi are going to be viable option for an entire season and playoff run?

They're both bodies, but they're awful.

We do need Griffin back. Even though he has his problems on the court, he is still better than some of the players on the court.

It is a pity he tries to throw his life away.

Couldn't you have combined this with your "Mo Taylor is a black hole " thread?

Oh, and Eddie Griffin sucks on and off the court and quit on his team.

Yeah, we need that guy, bad.

I definitely miss him and cannot wait for him to come back because I can just see the weapons he brings. Just like Boki is starting to hit his shots so will EG. EG can score from anywhere and at some point that is going to be a factor.

    exactly.

Who the hell do you expect to back up Yao when Cato is sitting on the bench with 3 fouls.

If you answer is Amaechi, then we can all look forward to a 5th consecutive year of missing the playoffs.

and keep this in mind: Scrubs always seem to play really well early in the season because they played the summer league and got tons of preseason minutes. Braggs and Amechi will be complete garbage in a month.

Well, if they continue to get minutes, does that mean they'll continue to play well in a month? If that's the case, then what's the problem? :p

Because in a month or so the rest of the players will catch up with him.

Every single year there's some scrub who contributes meaningful minutes, but is worthless as the season progesses.

    See Hawkins last year.

As good as Braggs and Padgett may be, I still believe that Eddie (with his mind straight) would be a real nice compliment. Our Frontline would have 3 of the top 20 shot blockers in the league.

Anyone who doesn't think we need Griffin's speed, quickness and defense at the 4 is kidding themselves.

Teams like Dallas and Minnesota could pose serious matchup problems at the 4.

Hopefully it won't be anything like the weapons he currently brings....

Here's something you guys are forgetting: Eddie Griffin is a scrub too.

I think the Rockets can live without his stellar position defense and light out shooting for the time being.

I miss his headband though. Got to give it to Griffin for sticking with his headband for more than 1 quarter, unlike his partners Mobley and Francis. Its just not right to be indecisve when it comes to wearing headbands. Griffin is a headband dude for life it seems, kind of like Cliff Robinson, and it probably rubbed him the wrong way when Francis and Mobley use to wear headbands then chunk them to the ground with disgust during the game. Thats probably why Griffin is having issues with the team. I bet he just hates to play with players who disrespect the headband like that.

OK, let's say Eddie can put his problems past him (a BIG IF), then he would be nice to have in terms of depth. But we don't NEED him and I think management expressed those feelings by not extending him. If he came back, his role would be nothing than to give Cato and MoT some rest. Hmmm...the third PF on the depth chart. With such a role, you just want someone to give you good defense and energy, two things Eddie still lacks (sure, he can block shots but he's awful on the ball). Who cares about his outside shooting when he can't contribute inside. And with his full-blown problems, I think we're doing just fine with Braggs.

When did JaRule double his height and put on a Rocket's jersey?

Griffin is a bust. Braggs, Mo, and Cato play with more heart and desire. Griffin probably couldn't crack the rotation right about now.

He's horrible. Drafting him was a mistake. Let's move on.
