This kid is sitting out recovering from tweaking his hamstring. He should be in the NBA. And he's the perfect fit here coming off the bench in this system. He's a little bug. Super quick. Extremely skilled offensively in every way. And he's a disruptor defensively. Some team is going to grab him and he'll be a value signing. Once he's healthy he's plug and play capable here. We need to sign him.
Ah ok. Well if we're on the topic of potential backup PG pickups, I would like to nominate Quinn Cook. Excellent 3pt shooter, crafty finisher around the rim and a gritty defender. Not as athletic as Pierre though. In the recent D-league showcase, Cook averaged a smooth 34 pts on 60% shooting to go w/ 8 dimes.
Funny he was part of the Nerlens Noel draft day trade. also, fwiw: Shams at TheVertical sure got his Dec 27th tweet wrong. Can't always be right, I guess.
While we are waiting for Pierre to return from his hammie, we can pass the time looking at these highlights of Yogi's 19pt game in his 2nd start -- against Irving and Cleveland. And when you're done with that, scroll down for his 32pt game against Lilliard on 9-11 3pt shooting. And the last one, Denver, works as a night-cap as it gives you a look at the defense and assists not already included in the CLE one.
If this was anybody else, thread ignored, locked or moved to random idea thread. But no, this will be a 10 page discussion with back and forth arguments between posters and Hollic, with him making claims such as "Jackson is clearly better then Beverley and yada yada yada".
Cook is an NBA player too. Just a matter of time before he gets signed. Liked him at Duke and in the draft. He's better than a whole pile of backups now. And I'd definitely take him over Brown and Ennis any day of the week.
