Hate to notice, every time when Tmac is out and Scola get big minutes, he scores 20+.. is this a coincidence or?
Hate to burst your bubble, but you need better logic. What has Tmac being on the team gotta do with Scola not developing? Mac's an SG/SF, Scola is purely a PF. It's not like they share positions or playing time or something. Please, the Tmac hate going around is getting ridiculous.
I really think that for the sake of the Rockets, it would be too bad if Luis and T-Mac can't ever play well together. If they ever could, that would be bad news to their opponents. Can you imagine how things would be if you are a Rocket opponent who felt that a special defense needed to be set up just to contain Luis? I would sure feel like a team that would be in trouble against the Rockets in a playoff series if I ever felt that such a thing had to be done.
If you read carefully the OP's post acknowledged that because he asked the question whether it be a coincidence or not. I think too much Tmac elbow isolation play is not very effective in a way that Tmac is not hitting his shots and he doesn't want to drive. He takes tougher shots than he has to. Get the players to move, stop standing around.
1. T-mac is not replaceable by any one in the Rox roster. 2. Rick may put any other supporting cast to the bench, but not Yao& T-mac. 3. Scola could be a scorer and our third point maker, but put him in T-mac's position. These two are not comparable, are they? Unless we trade T-mac, we just need to deal with it and wait until T-mac buy into RA's system, find the right pace and trust his teammates.
The best way to make threads like this go away is to simply not reply to them, and they will quickly be pushed out.
T-Mac tends to dominate the ball when he's on the court. Scola playing well tonight was because he got to handle the ball more. T-Mac should start playing more off the ball like he was talking about at the beginning of the season.
no it's already at the top, so replying now doesn't do any further damage. I mean, look, nothing personal, but c'mon, do you really think that the reason to trade t-mac is so Scola can develop? That t-mac interferes somehow with that process???? C'mon man....you can do better. I believe in you.
We need a third scorer badly. Bonzi is too inconsistent (and probably doesn't care that much). Scola is our best hope and he should be able to based on his ability.
