Totally, i think our team is better than utah jazz but we do worse than utah in the stability. Our defense is quiet good in the league but i don't know why we couldn't display our superiority in the game with continuity. We could do very well in some games but we lose our skills in some game. May be the young player should cool down in some of the games, especially, when the games are in the critical time. They should draw lessons from their defects, not just do it again and again which makes our fans scratch.
In the game with Utah, wafer, lowry, barry and artest and brooks-- our outside player are inefficient. wafer and lowry just know dashing to the hoop simply and hastily, they may do it when the opponents are others but Utah couldn't let them do it easily, they have many players who could block and have better athletic talent. Wafer and lowry are shorter than players of utah so get so many blocks from utah. They became more hastily, the more they want to prove themselves the more they became inefficient and made overturns. They lose their balance of their mind and this became a vicious cycle. And artest wasn't smart as well, he just jump in the vicinity of three-point line but forgort his advantage. He is so strong he should penetrate to the hoop and threat their hoop, or make fouls to free-throw, especially at the stalemate. But he didn't do it well and was block by five times(pitty 5 of 22). Also barry and other guys lose so many open shots. Our offensive rebound are 11 more than Utah but we couldn't transfer them to scores. I think our players fear the Utah Jazz from their mind and heart, they fear to contest with Utah and play not tough. They lose so many times at Utah which leaves indelible shadow in their minds, espically Yao. That is before playing the game they just think they couldn't win at Utah and they may lose the game from the bottom of their heart. Also the media give their players too much hints and made a negative effect on the players.. Before the game, they talk too much that the rox should avoid the Utah in the playoff. The media and players are both lack of confidence to defeat Utah Jazz. Our guys should take out of their fortitude and confidence to beat Utah, they should know they are better than Utah, they rank higher than Utah.
As a fan, I hope the rox VS jazz in the playoff, we should prove we are tougher than Utah, we should shake of the fear in the mind. Our guys should believe they could defeat utah and any other team. As a competitive-champion team they should experience the progress or they wouldn't become a really champion contender. I never heard that the spur, lakers, celtics and cavaliers fear any team, especially spur they could win any team in the road. Our guys should have the will and volition.

No offense I agree with most of what you said, but I feel like i've already addressed a lot of these points. This could've gone in many other threads on the front page.

I just want to talk about the game with Utah mainly. I hope we could meet Utah in the playoff, and prove we could defeat them. I guess our player have some negative hints in their minds when they confront with Utah.

If we pasted the 1st round, meet will Utah at playoff sooner or later, but i dont think utah is a perfect at 1st round. Even we defeat them, we need to pay much energy than we meet other opppnents, such as hornet or nuggets..

our players can beat the jazz, there's no need to prove it to anyone. I just want the rockets to leave the Jazz to spurs, then we will match with a weakened spurs team in the second round.

Spurs-Jazz in the first round would be epic.

I would love to see it like this:
    1. Lakers - 8. Mavs
    2. Rockets - 7. Nuggets
    3. Spurs - 6. Jazz
    4. Hornets - 5. Blazers

    Then:
    2. Rockets - 3. Spurs
    1. Lakers - 5. Blazers

    Then:

    1. Lakers - 2. Rockets

    Then:

    1. Rockets - 2. Alston-led Orlando Magic. :D (if you thought it wasn't a pipe-dream before, this seals it.)

    Then:

    Rockets as '09 champs!

When did "stable" turn into a noun? "we need stable as a team." God damn that hurts reading. Especially reading it out loud.

Ha. I have no delusions my friend. That's why I added this: "(if you thought it wasn't a pipe-dream before, this seals it.)"

I put too much faith in the Rockets every year only to get kicked between the legs in the postseason. I know what's coming. :D I can still dream, though.

I don't care if the Spurs are weakened. We've always been a good matchup for the Spurs regardless of how superiour they have been for the past decade.

The Spurs are VERY beatable for the Rockets, but they are a nightmare for most of the other teams in this year's playoffs.
