After watching the last few games, I am SICK to my stomach. I honestly feel that we have the talent to become a 4th seed and get into the 2nd or 3rd round of the playoffs but the past 3 games has brought me back to reality. I think we as fans/Rox organization are faced with 2 options:

    1. As fans, we can either try to understand and expect that this is a young team and there will be some highs but alot of lows as the team learns on how to become a play-off type team. No play-offs this year

    OR

    2. I know many of you hate this alternative but we need to trade and get some experienced proven players that can immediately resolve our void. I do not believe we have ANY players at their primes. We need to acquire guys who ARE good role players. In the past, we have tried to CONVERT our existing players to fit these roles. Case in point, TRYING to play Eddie G as a PF.

Eddie will be a good/great player in 4 years, but he can not handle the PFs in the West. The most recent evidence is Karl Malone or Pau Gasols thrashing.

I am still bewildered by the fact that the organization has not traded for a LEGITIMATE/EXPERIENCED power foward to help Yao hold down the fort  . Did they not know we needed help? Or did they think that we can simply insert a rookie in the paint and have him single handedly shut down other teams front lines? Or do they believe in my 1st alternative that this is a young team and it will take years to develop collectively thus we should not expect to make the playoffs? Right now I would almost prefer to know that that was the case. Because it always seems like the organization is purposely trying to not improve this team!

I can rant on and on but I will stop here. BUt I still have the utmost confidence that we will be a championship type team in the near future 3 years. But again, the main question right now is if we want to excel this year. If we do, we need help NOW!

Number One. We cannot win a championship immediately.

    SLA,

I agree. But we are a VERY borderline playoff team right now (as evident by our record). And what bothers me even more is the trend that we are seeing. Our last 3 losses have been pathetic. The whole team offense, defense etc. has absolutely NO chemistry and it looks as though they never played together before. I dont mind losses but at least there should be glimpses of a team coming together. In my opinion, it looks like we are digressing from game to game.
