Since the draft of Bogut and the trade for Magloire, Gadzuric don't play a lot. But if you look at his stats: 5.2 points (48 %) and 3.7 rebounds in only 12 minutes. In 48 minutes, it makes 20.8 points and 14.8 rebounds ! Great numbers. With the injury of Smith, the Bucks need a true PF because we can see that Kukoc plays his minutes at the 4. Gadzuric is a true center, he is 27 years old. Swift is 5.000.000 dollars this year and Gadzuric is 4.750.000 What do you think of that ? It seems that Rockets and Bucks will take benefit of this trade. Howard can play among 35 minutes, Baxter can help for 13 minutes. And we'll take a PF via draft or trade agency.
I mentioned this last year that the Bucks would have an excess of big men if they drafted Bogut. My idea was to get Paculia or Gadzuric with our MLE and play them at PF/C with Yao, I think Gadzuric is a tweener and could play PF and be our future backup center. Swift looks to be a mistake to me, he really is soft, I wasn't in his shoes when he got kneed the other game but I think a tougher player would have come back into the game. His shooting, help defense may improve but he will never be the physical PF that we were looking for to get Yao's back. If the Bucks are willing to take him I would trade him for DG.
We have two centers, but they're both injured. A third player who's a combo PF/C would be ideal (Think, dare I say it, Cato-type?)
If I were CD, I would only try to get first-round draft players drafted by the Detriot GM, the Pacers GM and Isiah Thomas.
The Rockets need to get busy and come up with some kind of deal to at least encourage the other players and the fans. We are both really discouraged. The Team needs a shot in the arm, something to raise our collective spirits. Some ten day contracts or something. It just looks hopeless out there. TMac looks like he has given up.
we dont need a true center, we just need a healthy one. we dont even that really. we just need some freaking players that arent hurt and can make some plays. stromile needs to call up OT and the chuckster and get some pointers or something.
Baxter made a good match: 8 points 11 rebounds in 24 minutes. He can play at the 4 after Howard. He is strong enough to play between 10 and 20 minutes. Let's go for a center.
Yeah, TMac did look like he had checked out last night to me as well. The problem with making a deal is that you have to have something of value with which to trade. Now after watching these guys stumble and bumble along this season, what GM in his right mind not named Dawson would trade for any of our guys not named Yao or McGrady?
