We lost Frank Layden

    Former rotund Jazz head coach and executive known for eating fans' popcorn and hot dogs during games. Crazy he lived to 93. I remember him from NBA bloopers vhs tapes I rented at Hollywood Video.

    Seemed like a cool guy coaching the Jazz. Then he was succeeded by Darth Vader.

    Frank was unique. And exited before his use-by-date. Smart, fun, insightful. Not likely a fit in the ‘20s with the buttoned down FO/coaches

    Hated the Jazz but I loved this guy.

    He was a great ambassador to the game of basketball/NBA.

    Can't believe Frank Layden lived to 93. Me and my cousin watched the hell out of that tape.
