I understand the whole frustration with tonight game but lets not forget the following: 1. The whole roster has only played 2 games together 2. The whole team has not been consistent with starting line ups 3. The practice's have not been consistent with the roster 4. The Rockets are still in the running for the playoff's 5. Give the guys coming back from injury's time to get back into the feel of things. Teams have off nights. Tonight was just one of those nights we played down to the competition. I still believe this team is going to get alot better. We dont need to trade anyone. Just need to be consistent.
That is the big problem. Half way through the season and we can't stay healthy. It looks like we are about to be healthy, but for how long? Tonight was an off night, but the effort from our starters was not there tonight and that is unacceptable.
I agree. At this stage every game is going to count down the stretch because 1 game could make us a #3 seed or 8th seed. They need Yao more than anything. I think its due to the fact they played a rough game in Detroit.
We may never play with a full roster...I hope we do, because Yao is by far and away the most important player on the team....by a LONG way. DD
Agree. Hey worst comes to worst, play the line up with the guys we had when Artest and TMAC were out. Atleast they played hard and won
It isn't that Yao is so important (although I agree he is). It is that TMac and Artest are so over-rated. They slow the game down and make it easy to defend the Rockets. Notice how much quicker the Rockets played even with the "slow" Yao Ming?
Agreed, that is why I don't get why people say we are playing the Knicks, so and so can miss this game because we should win. This team has lost easy game after easy games this year and people still think we can be unhealthy and just blow these teams out. It simply isn't true. This team needs to be healthy to get in the playoffs. By reading half of the stuff on this board you would think we had a playoff spot locked up.
How many crappy teams do we have to lose to this season for you guys to wake up and relize that if we are getting beat by teams like the Wiz, Knicks, Griz, Clips, and Toronto we don't have a chance in hell in winning anything in the post season. Injuries are an excuse for bad teams not winning. If a team is good then one person being injured is not going to make or break the out come of a game unless that person is truly carrying the team. Jordan did it, he was never injured hardly and thats how he could carry his team. Unfortunately we have fragile stars that can't take the season toll and it shows. We need people on this team that will play hurt and even if their shot isn't going in find another way to contribute. We also have way to many guys that stand outside on the perimeter and look to get open 3's. Ron or Tracy gotta go its just a fact. Yao could have carried this win.
A couple more losses and we're out of the playoffs. That's why every possession counts. That's why efficiency counts. That's why having 3 starters (TSlack, Airballston and Artest) shoot AT THE BOTTOM OF THE LEAGUE in terms of FG% means were going to struggle to make the playoffs.
You are right when it comes to our struggles, but why can't you just call the players by their normal name? I mean seriously? And I sure as hell don't see how you came up with the nickname Scrubola.
Did you watch last year's playoffs? How many layups did the dude miss? How many FTs did the guy miss? He's much better this year, I'll admit, but until he play well under pressure, he's still Scrubola in my books.
if someoen could bring up a statistic on how many fast break points we averaged while t-mac was out to how many fast break points we have with him in the lineup that wuold be great.
Yes I watched and he doesn't deserve the name Scrubola. All the nicknames are childish. Why can't you just bash them by calling them by their real name. But w/e my opinion on the situation is useless you will continue to do it.
