Now that we have addressed our main need adding an athletic Power forward at an affordable price. so what now. It seems getting mighty mouse for the LLE which would be around 4 million over 2 years. I'd also like to find Jay williams to come back from his injury and get some minutes. It looks like the priority now will be the clean up the glut in the backcourt and do something with our expiring contracts. A great start to our offseason.
we really don't need anymore guards under 6'5. that's like half the roster. i think now we need and athletic swingman who can come in off the bench and provide a little bit of everything (especially scoring and defense). we shouldn't have to break the bank to get a guy like maurice evans.
I honestly don't think Damon wil take the LLE. We might be looking towards a sign and trade with portland.

i gotta catch up to your 1362. They are going to offer Damon the LLE see if he bites. If not i could see a sign and trade with us taking Derrick Anderson and shipping out Wesley and James.
i actually would go for the damon and anderson trade. anderson fits a need on the perimeter for athleticism and shooting. i would prefer to ship sura and wesley and keep james because of james' quickness and D.
if we could get a sign and trade for stoudamire... we ought to try and pick up either miles or anderson for james and spoon/baker/moochie...and if need be a 1st rounder for next year. next years draft is crap anyways so let em have it. portland doesnt want either of the players..and we could beneift from their play as well.
next years draft might be top heavy but i dont see it as being as deep because it is the first year they bar 18 year olds. there were 4 players drafted before us that would not be eligible in this years draft. I dont see us getting a luther head in the late first round next year. I'd give up the pick for Darius Miles but not Derick Anderson. Getting his contract off the books is compensation enough. I dont think they will trade miles until mid season after McMillen gets a look at him.
I would love to see them sign Donyell Marshall (same agent as Stromile, I think) to play SF and move T-Mac to the #2 guard. Then, sign Mighty Mouse to play the PG and shoot 3s. Marshall shoots the 3 well and can play PF too. You would then have a rotation of: Yao/Deke Swift/Marshall/Howard Marshall/T-Mac/ T-Mac/Head/Wesley-Sura-James who ever left Stoudamire/Head
marshall doesn't have the speed or laterall quickness to play the 3. nor is he interested in taking the LLE.

How much longer can Deke play? Only god knows if he's already 50 years old. That's gonna be a concern sometime in the near future. Especially if he were to break down.
