    No team is going win with almost 60 million in dead salary.

    CP3 - 35 million
    Knight - 15 million
    Chriss - 3.2 million
    MCW - 1.8 millon
    Zhou Zhi - 1.3 millon


    Unfortunately 50 million of it is untradeable without getting worse contracts back. The only thing we can hope for is that CP3 and Knight get healthy by the end of the season and we make some noise in the playoffs. Best case scenario is that CP3's injury allows Knight to get his groove back.

    if only MCW could go full preseason mode

    i think we will be fine ....cant see rockets falling below 7th seed no way....cp3 or not.. then when the postseason come and cp3 is healthy then nobody will want to play rockets

    Agreed. Just have to hope. Upgrading the roster with CP3 on it will be hard to do. I have faith in Morey and Co. in general but this specific situation is a rough one they've put themselves in.

    Might be a good time for CFers to get a graduate degree of some kind. The next 2-3 years might not be too exciting with the regular CP3 injuries and MCW-ish free agency signings. Harden going off will be fun to watch for sure, but if he keeps playing heavy minutes while doing 80% of our offense I'm not sure how sustainable that is.

    We've got to pick up a NBA level guard to fill in for CP3 and then eventually add depth when CP3 comes back. DJ Augustin trade, Rivers FA, Lin trade, etc.. gotta make a move to try and stay .500 while CP3 out. When he's back and fully healthy we can beat anyone 4 out of 7.
