We had the chips to trade by JVG and CD tossed them away.

I understand the Rockets did not want Eddie Griffin back after what happend during last season pre season. But, the Rockets had a mighty good trading chip.

If you look at our team, there are tremendous holes at the power forward and the point guard. Even the SF is weak outside of Jim Jackson.

But there isn't much value in the guys sitting and taking up those bench seats. The talent isn't there and they aren't comming off the books anytime soon. And Nachbar a 15th selection in the draft is on the IL (because he asked for more playing time or a trade). Another Draft pick in the trash. Maybe the Rockets realize that Nachbar does not have NBA level talent. But, they were the ones who drafted him, and should have done a better job evaluating his talent.

So, it appears that this is as good as it gets. They way that Griffin is playing now, he could have at least gotten the Rockets a Power Forward that could be beyond seriveable (which is all that Howard and Taylor have been). I'm also of the opinion that Griffin will soon become an all star as well.

It seems that the Rockets high moral stance didn't hold ground throughout the league. Minnesota didn't flinch at his past, and certainly would have given the Rockets something in return.

I've never criticized CD, but he botched this transaction. Now where do the Rockets go to get better other than the draft?

Chips to trade? You mean EG?

In case you forgot, the Rockets tried hard to get rid of EG when he started going through all his troubles. No one wanted to touch him, and he was eventually just let go.

    Exactly.

Feigen had confirmed that the Rockets were unable to find a trading partner before they released him.

We all wish Eddie Griffin would have worked out. He didn't. He played terrible. He lived terrible. He forced himself out. He obviously needed help and a new start. I'm glad he got it. It's a shame another team is reaping the benifits of all those draft picks, but there was little else to do but sever all ties at that point.

They either waited too long to move him (Rashard Lewis) or didnt wait long enough for rehab.

What's done is done though. :(

We didn't have chips. They didn't have to call our bluff. and CD is man of integrity he doesnt intend to fool anyone. Thats not his game. But he's not new to this and he'll keep playing the way he always has, the right way, and we'll be the better cause of it. Lets show some patience.

We let Posey walk away. Imagine if we had Posey at SF. Urrr. So we were tied down with bad contracts that we couldnt snatch real good players. I dont quite understand that logic. The way Ward was playing in San Anton last year, why would we sign him to a 3 year deal. I dont understand. We could've gotten Fisher this summer, and he was saying he would join a team with similar situation as Lakers had. I dont think that was Warroirs. We are having TE rotten in the bag that we wouldnt use it. Yao and Tmac with this bunch wouldnt cut it.

    reeeaallyyy??

Seems to me that we have had the current TE for less than a half a year.

How exactly is that "rotten in the bag"???

maybe you are one of those that still fails to realize that we used the Rice TE in the Tmac trade, and recieved a new one that is good until next summer.

or maybe the facts dont fit into your hater agenda...
