Wow, how did we end up with Trevor Ariza??? He can't even dribble the basketball, he's a poor 3 pt shooter over his career, really isn't going to give us anything in this offense. All he has going for him is he's an above average defender off the bench. I think he should be battling for a roster spot, never mind be considered one of our main scorers.

I'm one of the biggest homers you'll meet but I'd be shocked if we weren't worst or second worst in the West this year. We have no way whatsoever of defending the paint and our offense is going to suck big time. We just don't have any way of scoring consistently.

Feel free to flame me but you know I'm right.

Hes a good role player.. and this year is just trying to work with chemistry till Yao comes back next year and a big free agent signing that can help us. Dont hate a Rocket

I don't hate him. He's an average role player who we are expecting to be more, same as our entire team. We have a roster full of bench players, face it and you won't be disappointed when we win 20 games

I think we got desperate to make a splash. I wish we gave gortat the whole MLE. I'd rather overpay for a bigman with potential off a hot champion performance than a wing that has arguably less potential.

I'm sorry guys but I'm cringing at this. The PACERS are just walking to the basket as they like. They don't even have a centre and we can't defend them inside. Just imagine what teams with bigs are going to do to us when it really counts. Would probably be best if Clutch shuts down the BBS for a few months and we all just pretend this season never happened.

This roster as constructed will struggle to be competitive in the NCAA

I know he can't create his own offense but I don't think Adelman's system needs him to do that but mostly cutting through the lanes... Maybe if Tracy or if he ever does come back, Ariza would be a better fit.. This team is just too weak to have any individual one on one offense besides Brooks.

He is a proven solid role player with a championship ring.

I tried to tell ya'll that (people are overrating Ariza) when we signed him instead of Artest. Still, I am giving the overall situation the benefit of the doubt because I do believe he will fit into the picture as a whole alot better when T-Mac and Yao are playing as well.

Yall are all freakin stubborn GEEZ!!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously, Ariza has never never never possessed any sort of creating or dribbling ability. I don't understand how many of you all did not know this.

    he's 23 years old
he might not be an allstar, but he isnt getting allstar money

this is his first season playin as a focal point (sortof) the adjustment isnt easy for everyone.
i know he wont be a goto scorer, but i was smart enough to know this before hand. he is here for next season

That was my point with this deal. If you are going to overpay, overpay a big. You can't say on one hand that you will assign a player a value and then not go over that and turn around and give a guy like Ariza a contract like he got. He's not grossly overpaid, but he is overpaid.

There are a lot of guys making less money that are better players. Winning that ring and playing with the Lakers gave him a nice contract. As for better players making less money, Marquise Daniels, Ramon Sessions, Hakim Warrick anybody else.

So now we get the Laker hand me downs(cook ariza), and they take Artest. So why is everyone so impressed by Morey?

You mean the same restricted FA Gortat who the Magic matched for the MLE screwing the Mavs over?

All we gave him was the MLE.... I dont see why you are complaining. Artest left and we filled in the hole quickly and efficiently not really any risk involved. I think it was a good signing during an off season filled with uncertainty.

I agree... people who think hes going to grow as a player and turn into this solid scorer are all dreaming, thats not happening. But I dont see why you would put Ariza in the "battling for a roster spot" situation when he clearly deserves to play?

The funny thing, is that we could have had Ariza for virtually nothing before the Lakers grabbed him.

Random thought, we could really use JR Smith. I bet he could average 30 a game on our team...
