I'm sure I'm not the only one who would like some details on that pick.

Unless the Sonics trade away Baker, they will surely be a lottery team this year. I'm guessing that their pick will be between 7-12.

The Payton/Baker rumor to PORT for Davis, Stoudamire and Bonzi is out there.

If they would just trade Payton for picks and trash (dreamin'), keep Baker...maybe they would fall further.

Need some info on that pick...anyone?

The pick is lottery-protected. Seattle sent it to New York in the Patrick Ewing trade, and New York in turn sent it to Toronto I believe in the Mark Jackson trade.

I'm not sure how long Seattle has to give it up. I'm trying to find out...

I may be wrong here, but...
I think the Seattle pick was for 2001 (meaning this year), but since it was lottery protected, it did not get sent. If it had been in the pick range of 14-29, it would have gone to Toronto.

Problem is for us to get it in 2002, the Sonics would have to make the playoffs... don't see that happening. Meaning it could be a while before we get that pick.

BTW, no confirmation yet though if this is indeed the pick we will get.

MUCH appreciated Clutch. Don't these things usually have a time limit? Meaning, if it's not used up by a certain time, don't we get it anyway?

I see the Sonics having a LONG rebuilding process ahead of them in a deep, deep western conference.

Anyway, any (more) tidbits on these pick are....as I said....MUCH appreciated.

The pick is lottery protected (thankfully) until 2007.
