We're only two games behind and play phoenix next. Phoenix has to then play portland and we play the next two games against the east. [IMG]

Phoenix is in the 7th seed right now. The Rockets are two games behind both them and Minnesota.

By this time next week the Rockets could be the 7th seed and challenging the Mavs for the 6th.

Tomorrow's game is the biggest since game 3 of the 99 playoffs. The Rockets have not played a lot of truly huge games over the last year and a half, because they have never been in such a winning situation. They have got to win against Phoenix tomorrow, or I really think they will miss the playoffs. A win tomorrow would be a massive step upward for the franchise. They will have playoff experience after tomorrow, because it truly is game one of postseason play. Must win must win must win!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Obviously we want Phoenix to lose and have to beat them, but the Rocks are 3 games behind Phoenix in the loss column and only 2 in the loss colum behind Minnesota so the T-Wolves are still a priority, slightly ahead of Phoenix. But hey I'll take passing anyone of those teams!

If they beat Phoenix, that could help in passing both teams Mill.

I think we should worry about beating the Suns and passing them in the standings before even thinking about the Blazers and Mavs.

Good point Hebe. Man we have to beat the Suns! I just want to get the 7th or 8th seed at least. Just get us into the playoffs!

I understand that this is a huge game, but if the rockets lose it will not erase their playoff chances. If they win, they have made up ground on the teams ahead of them faster than any of us imagined. I'm not trying to take away the significance of this game, because it is big, but I'm not putting the make or break tag on this game either like many have.

And I do think they will win......

I think if we win the game in phoenix then we are definitely in. If the rockets lose, then they will still have a chance.

To me, beating phoenix would be more a moral victory since the rockets have not faired so well against western conference playoff teams. They need to feel that they can beat any team in the west. If that happens, then they can be very dangerous in the playoffs.

I just want them to make it so they can kick Utah's butt in the playoffs. Life then would be really really good.

Thats right. We are right on schedule, and if we win against Suns we will be ahead of schedule, while they fall back. That makes the game big, but I have chalked up that game as a loss, and still se us passing suns in the end.

From my prediction thread only Mavs are 1 game ahead of schedule, while Wolves, Sonics and Nuggets are behind my schedule. And this is a schedule that gets us in the playoffs ahead of Wolves, and in a tie for 7th with the Suns.

With Nuggets and Sonics not living up to playoff-caliber games (not that I thought they would - just had them in there and predicted how close they could get if they got it together) it will be a close race with Mavs, Suns and Wolves for the last 3 playoffs spots. I can see Wolves faltering and getting 9th, but I really see us atleast claiming 7th - Mavs could be a little to much to ask for although they do have a though schedule.

We can reach our destination, but it's still a ways away.

I remember that thread. Where is it now? Could you bring it back to life so we can check it out again?
