Yeah, I heard that. Thats why I hit her over the head with a frying pan, wrapped her up, and sent her first-class freight to the Delta Center in Utah. Its over for them, not for us.

DaDakota said: "She was singing in LA during the Clippers game, for us realists."

Huh? What? Did you really say that?

You "realists", you knew the fat lady had sung in LA? To "realists", the season was over in LA? "Realists" gave up on playoff hopes after LA?

DaDakota says "We Realists, we knew the fat lady sang in LA. We knew the Rockets were out of the playoffs. We Realists, We told you so."

    WOO! GO DaDakota!

I had my feelings that this was not a playoff team much earlier in the season. The Rockets were 13-9. They were in sixth place in the west, and tied with San Antonio. They then went on to severely underestimate the Denver Nuggets. They fell behind early, and their comeback was not enough. They lost 102-100. That was the start of that 6 game losing streak. It allowed Dallas and the rest of the Rockets' competitors to break away from them in the standings. Despite their 16-4 run, the Rockets were playing catchup the entire season.
That loss defines the season for me. A comeback that just fell short. It was a bad sign of things to come. Now the Rockets need a miracle. A 10-0 run. Not very likely.

I still believe! We are 3.5 games back of the Puppies right now. We HOPEFULLY beat the Wizards and Nets. Hopefully the Kings and the Blazers beat the Puppies. By Sunday night Minnesota can be 42-31 and we can be 41-33. That is only 1.5 games back with 7 games still remaining. The Puppies still go on to play Port, Pho, Lak, Lak, Utah, Houston and Mavs!

But todays game was just..... [IMG]

Yeah, the T-Wolves just need to lose 8 more games, and the Rockets will make the playoffs by going 6-4. Its up to Minnesota's opponents now.

Being really lucky the Rockets can make it going 8-2. 9-1 is what we should be going for to be on the safe side. I know the chances are slim. But I still BELIEVE!

We were Fifth seed. We were actually tied with the lakers for 4th with a 31-19 record, but they owned the tiebreaker with a lopsided series record of 2-1.

Yeah I remember that year because we lost twice to Dallas and Nowitzki killed Pippen in both meetings.

That season was a nightmare. Does anyone remember the Houston-Utah game nearly two years ago on April 1st? The Rockets were up 15 in the fourth, and lost at the buzzer. They dropped to 22-10, and ended up going only 9-9 after that. Had they won that game, they would have been second in the west, and would have had momentum for the rest of the season. It could have been a championship season. Instead, it was a playoff fold-fest.

The game that broke me during that season was the San Antonio game. Damn Sean Elliot hit that crazy shot and after that the Spurs took off on their way to the championship.

You mean when the Rockets were up 22 in the second quarter, and lost at the buzzer? That was Ellie.

If we can come up with 1000 reasons(Hangout forum) we're obsessed with the Rockets we'll make the playoffs.

That was the Memorial Day Miracle. He led the Spurs to a huge comeback against the Blazers in game two of the western finals. He hit a three pointer falling out of bounds.
