With T-Mac missing 2 games, Rafer 2 games the new system, new team mates the toughest schedule in the NBA, the most Road wins, the most back to backs, etc etc. We are only 3 games behind in the lost column from 3rd place with 58 games to go. I'm a little bit worry but I'm not panicking yet. We still can fix this team, We see the have play well especially again Elite teams but constancy is the key for a better record. We got the part just a few more games to practice and we can see a Houston that we expect.
It's a bit depressing for me to think that if we are to get the same record as last year, then we'll have to go on a 40-18 stretch after tonight's game.
Dallas is a good team we should have beat them last time we played them but the key for us is to win the games we are supposed to win and come playoff time it's all about matchups and Dallas doesn't match up with certain teams just like we don't match up well against them. We just need to beat the grizzlies, cavs, sixers, bobcats and other weak teams.Utah has lost 6 in row an dallas isn't playing good either they just play well against us.We just beat the pistons,we beat the suns on their floor and we match up toe to toe with the spurs.
Look, every team has an excuse for why they should have a better record. At the end of the day, it is just Ws and Ls. 8 teams have more Ws and fews Ls than we do. Alexander basically said the same thing a few days ago. Furthermore, the Rockets just look terrible as a team. I have never seen them look this bad when they had both TMac and Yao. Other teams are BLOWING US OUT - even bad ones. All our players are having CAREER WORST FG%. If those aren't signs that something is terribly wrong, I don't know what is. Having looked at our schedule and recent play, I think we are much more likely to drop further out of playoff contention that climb into the top half of the playoff in the next few weeks. It is sad but true that this season could be over before it has barely begun.
Dallas is a bad match for us. True. We are having tremedous problems defending teams that shoot well. We still win in a grind out type of game, and who's the best coach for this type of game?
No because this team can get no worst only better. But you probably a negative person like most of the posters. No team lower than Houston right now going to make the playoff simple. Lakers get hot at the begging of every year then they fall, is a young team. Denver same team and they are worst that Houston, no place for improvement, because they play 0 defense every game. NO going to fall they will, they are not that good as their record said, I now that. GS will be up and down but they will finish with a good record. They can be really hot and then cool down a little bit, but they are a team that can be playing for the top 5 place. Utah same team and not good vs elite a good teams, no place for improvement. Dallas. PHX and SA are still the team that will finish in the top 3 specially SA and PHX. Houston are better that the rest talent wise along with GS and will improve to get close to the max this team can give as the season goes on.
You can criticize those teams all you want, but they're still more than 1.5 games ahead of us and we aren't going to make up any ground soon ... Toronto L (embarassing) Philadelphia L (hideous; Yao calls the team soft after this) Detriot W (predicted L and we deserved an L) Dallas L (terrible performance at home) ============ Orlando L Denver L Chicago W Detroit L Memphis W Toronto L Golden State L Boston L Orlando L (14-19)
Well I said that I would give this team till the All-star break and I will. But damn they are making it hard for me to believe they can actually create some noise this year.
I'm telling you, its the coach and his system thats not clicking. We basically have the same player as last years with more added offensive power and we're doing worst. Before this season started, the % of win when both Yao and T-Mac is on the court was close to 85%(not sure of the exact record though). The change of coaches was a critical mistake(not that I wanted to keep JVG). We should've hired a coach to take off where JVG left off, not bring in one that changes the whole system/philosophy. I couldn't careless about the standing when we have our own team to worry about.
Forget the records. Just look at our resume. Look at the quality wins: @ Lakers @ Jazz Spurs Nuggets @ Suns Pistons I don't even have to look at any other teams' schedules to know that we have more quality wins than any team in the league. That alone gives me optimism, that we can beat these teams despite not even having any sense of an organized, flowing offense besides the standard Yao/T-Mac 2-man game.
Can you tell me next week lottery wining numbers? "Detriot W (predicted L and we deserved an L)" A total loser negative type of poster. we deserved an L. You must be a cubs fan those that like to lose and feel sorry and criticizes the players the management, the fans, anything. Mav, PHX, UTAH, etc. have bad loses too, so at the end they are as bad as us just have a team together longer. LOL you probably predict the lost of Houston at Utah or at PHX or vs SA or Det. Denve ect. Classic pathetic fan.
Exactly last year we have a good record but could not beat any good team and we have a mediocre record vs the west. At the end you only face Elite to good teams from the west in the playoff. Could care less games we lost vs mediocre teams or eastern teams in the east early in the season. Look what happen with Memphis 1st game we kind of take them lightly second game different story we totally dominated them. I'm hopeful of better and more consistent performance during the season and be playing real fun and serious BB towards the playoff and go with some momentum to do some serious damage.
Nostradamus strikes again Had you only posted this once or twice, I'd have left it alone. But you were so certain that was how it was going to go down, I gotta bring it back up. Rockets adding to their wins over play-off teams with Ws over Toronto and Orlando. Without T-Mac no less.
We've won 4 of our last 6 games, and without McGrady. I'd say we're seeing signs of coming around and learning to play within Adelman's system.
chill. we did deserve to lose that game. that was the one when we were at one point 1-15? from the charity strike. almost ended as the 2nd worst freethrow shooting percentage in league history. oh, and to top it off- it was on national tv. but regardless, northeastfan really needs to stop posting that. 3 or 4 times was good enough, you dont need to post it 50 times
To be fair, he hasnt posted it since Dec 28th or so. But it was plastered all over threads the two-three weeks or so before that.
