It really is amazing how we all touch each others lives without knowing it. To all my brothers and sisters by the grace of whatever higher power there is out there, we are fine and back home. Joann and I happened to be on Martha's Vineyard for a week of fun and sun and were laughing and getting ready to head out to the beach when my father called on Tuesday morning to tell us that the first plan hit. We turned on the TV to watch the horror that was taking place in our beloved city. Began making phone calls to all our friends and loved ones to make sure everyone was ok. Everyone in our circle are fine! I wasn't around a computer all week and I'm so sorry I caused all the concern and apprehension to you all. We got home last night about 2am and I didn't turn on the computer until this morning! As I'm writing this, tears are streaming down my face because of all the outpouring of love and support of all of you. Words cannot describe just how much love I feel to people that I only know through a keyboard. Thank You Thank You Thank You!!! To Crispee (who the hell are you and how do you know Stump?) Yes I do work for Morgan Stanley, but Morgan has about six buildings in Manhattan, I happen to work in one of the midtown offices. But Joann works at 40 Wall street (about five blocks) from the epicenter. She has been in contact with people at her office and everyone is fine (although one of her company's board members is missing, he was to be at a breakfast at windows on the world, a restaurant on the top floor of the second building that was hit). But it was too close. Jo uses one of the subway stations that is right across the street from the Trade Center and she would have just been getting off the train when the first plane hit. But she wasn't there. Again thank you all again for your love and prayers. And God Bless America!
I would just like to go on record to say that I knew you were on vacation. True, I was just trying to will it so that we would not have to face the alternative, but I said it nontheless. Welcome back, Mark, you were missed. I am glad there are no personal tragedies with which you must deal.
a lot of us were willing that you were on vacation! so glad to hear that you and your wife are fine. your faceless friend, rH
Man, it is good to see your name on the board again, Mark!!! We were all really worried about you. I'm very glad to hear that you and your family are ok.
Awesome. There was a time we feared the worst so I'm very glad to see you posting again mc mark ... just very happy to know you and your wife are OK.
Glad that you and yours are safe mc mark. I was hoping and praying that you were on vacation. It is good to have you back.
Great to have you back mc mark... a friend of yours in Houston had us worried for quite a while. Glad to see that all appears well for you and your family and friends...
You could literally hear a collective sigh of relief across the board when crispee reported you were safe. I think I'm hearing another one right now. Its great to hear your OK mc mark as you had us all worried. Its also very reassuring to hear that you all your loved ones and friends are ok. Azim da Dream
That is wonderful -- what good timing to take a vacation when you did. I am glad you and your wife are okay. Next time you go on vacation, keep a computer with you at all times, so you can keep us informed of your status
I'ts great that you are back, but you should be careful. The Doc of stalk and crispee must have some far reaches...
Glad ya'll are safe and sound. The board will be purchasing a wireless palmtop for your next vacataion
mc mark, GREAT to hear from you and that your friends are OK. As others are doing, I've been spending time tracking down many friends and past acquaintances all week, and like everyone else here, thought of you as well. What I wasn't prepared for was all the return emails, but I find it worse to not know. Stump's email brought a blessing. Good news helps us all. As DaDakota and others have said, we can't explain why news about a remote stranger from the bbs helps, but it does. I know some lurkers here from the Houston players community that were considered about you as well. Give my thanks to Stump, again. I hope someday to pay him back by attending one of his plays, and I hope his circle is safe as well. --kevin (aka crispee, aka heypartner) ...continue the vigil...
