I mean seriously, even when we are winning, this brand of basketball is really awful to watch. I think alot of is indeed McGrady. I think JVG was blamed alot during those yrs, but I guess it never was really his fault. It was about players who did not want to cut, did not know how to read plays, and focused on taking a lot of bad shots, or just giving it to a player to iso. so sad....
...I still can't believe the Rockets are like what, 27th or 28th in the league in offensive efficiency? Morey needs to use his magic wand and kick someone's ass.
im not just talking about tonight. How about opening night against Memphis, or the home game against OKC, the Spurs game...It's been pretty consistent as to how bad our offense is. And it's getting pretty ignorant on Morey's behalf for his intent on not signing a 7 footer.
I remember that one time when I looked forward to Rox games. Now, not so much. This is just horrible to watch.
as long as we win I could care less how exciting it is to watch this team. the excitement for me comes from winning ball games
You must not like the NBA. It's like me watching nearly every NFL game..."Wake me up when they kick it to Hester, again."
Football is way more exciting than NBA, that said I enjoy the NBA and I dont think the Rockets are boring at all.
Rockets are one of those teams that just suck at jumpshots compared to the rest of the league. I won't be surprised if we finish last in 3pt% and fg%.
We really shouldn't. If that happens, if we're anywhere close to last for offensive efficiency over the entire season, Adelman needs to get fired.
you know when rockets fans can admit the rockets are boring is when they really are boring. i noticed this a while ago and i thought it was JVG too, but its the players. It's T-Mac being a ball stopper, and never running down the court for a fast break. our most exciting game was during preseason with the lineup of: AB + Wafer running the backcourt
Agreed, the NFL is more fun to watch even though the overall pace of the game is slower. Then again, as much as I like the NBA in recent years, I've always been more of a NFL fan. But in regard to the topic... well, I just have to disagree with the notion that night in and night out we are a boring team to watch. We are a team that plays stout defense, and when we get Battier back that is going to solidify our status as the most defense oriented team in the league. Our identity is our defense, and I suppose if you don't like watching a good defense go to work then our games might be boring to watch. Sure, sometimes Rockets' games can be a bit boring to watch-especially during games like the one tonight against the Mavs. Tonight's game has just been sloppy, sloppy, sloppy, but that isn't how our team normally plays. On nights when we play good Rockets ball I think our team is very interesting to watch; even if our team isn't some high scoring offensive powerhouse. Lastly, how can you not enjoy watching your favorite team? How can you be bored by watching your favorite team compete, even when games get ugly like they tend to do sometimes? If you are really bored by our team I question your dedication and appreciation of the Rockets organization.
Boring, that is because our offense is more like JVG's coaching period, not Adelman's.We need a lot of movements, but we can hardly see.
