We are an aging STUPID team now

Our team is clearly old, and now I have to say it is STUPID too.

Passing is absolutely UGLY! Wesley, Barry are useless! WTF is it with their pump fakes? You get an open look, you take it. Why pump fake when there is no defender around you? JVG cannot coach offense at all! Ewing should've been fired a year ago! They still cannot teach Yao how to fight the fronting nor can they teach guards how to feed Yao the ball! Shot selection is HORRIBLE! Watching Rox ball is a torture!

Can I get a refund if I cancel my league pass now?

I do not think our problem is necessarily age.

Our problem is Yao Ming. I regret we gave him the max now but that is okay - hopefully we can find a foolish team that can take him off our hands. Of course there is always hope that the light bulb in his head will come up soon but I am not going to hold my breath on that.

Yao is so sad, I am embarrased that I ever defended him.

"With all the other injuries, and the age factor on that basketball team, I don't know if it will really allow them to compete. The more you see of these Houston Rockets, the more you dislike them. Defensively, they are deplorable."

No, I'm sure you can't. You'll be glad you've got it when we turn things around.

Have faith! Get real loaded! Get laid! Go Rockets!!!

Show how much they know. The problem has been offense. Minus the celtic and phoenix games, the rockets have ranked high in defense.

I really can't believe how high all the expectations were because we are U-G-L-Y.

we aren't stupid (with the exception of swift on sometimes head). we are frustrated, depressed, and a little scared. all of those things will cuase us to make bad decisions.

we are aging though. only yao, tmac, stro, and head are worth keeping.

howard and deke barely played in the last two games. wesley and jb haven't done much. da is coming around, hopefully rafer will too (when he comes back).

we need another makeover. our chemistry has turned to **** anyway. we might aswell take this chance to make other major changes.

Basketball is a team sport--its never just one person. If you think so then you must think T-Mac was solely responsible for that 19 game losing streak in Orlando-(and we all know he wasn't)

Both Bill Walton and Mike Breen were getting animated in the 4th quarter because the guards were not passing the ball to an open Yao.

DA, Stro and Rafer aren't exactly living up to expectations-- and JVG is stubborn as usual.

You hit the nail on the head--Bill Walton said he was "worried about the Rockets mental state more than anything."

Attitudes are contagious--maybe Derek Anderson, and Rafer Alston got so used to losing in their former teams that their defeatist attitudes permeated the team. This team doesn't even look like they get along like last years. Last year was all smiles and encouragement even in a loss -this year everyone looks like they hate each other.

you cant judge this team now when we havnt had our superstar healthy this whole season and our new players havnt had time to gel with him, plus suras energy and hustle has been missed also, i think yao would be doing better if tmac was here because the spacing would be better....i still have hope if tmac comes back soon

i wouldn't go that far. sure last years team had chemistry that takes years to develope. it was amazing and fun to watch. this season with all the new guys and a lot less to smile about, what can we expect?

it looks like guys are getting along but they have nothing to celebrate about. Jho and DA seem to get along well. tmac and rafer were getting along well. there is just nothing to smile about right now.

ok that's fine......i hate ppl who give up on a player that tries....it was difficult to get the ball to him and plus the guards couldn't or won't pass the ball to him.

if you are so embarassed that you ever defended him....don't ever post about yao ever again.

if you ever do, i'm calling you out.

We were extremely hot in the second half of last year, but only finish at 5th because of the deep hole we create in the first half.

Now the hole is deeper than last year. We will be lucky finish somewhere between 44 - 47 wins and make the playoff even T-Mac gets back.

Based on the roster we have right now, I doubt we can completely turn around any time soon.

I can't believe it is the team which JVG uses 3 years to assemble.

Ok, let me explain why I started this thread.

We aren't doing things to win games. Wesley and Barry passed up countless open looks. I know they have been struggling with their shots, but what do they expect from pointless pump fakes and unnecessary passes? Someone has to take a shot before the shot clock runs out. Since nobody is hot, might as well take the open looks. It better than the off-balanced pryers they threw up lately.

Suns were clearly clicking from behind arc tonight and they are known to live and die with 3pt shootings. Yet, we left their shooters open again and again down the stretch. JVG didn't make adjustment and insisted on shutting down the post and didn't even get that done. Was that stupid or not?

3 minutes to go, down by 10 pts. Suns run down the clock because they were ahead. We got the ball back, and we walked up the court, dribbled and passed the ball as if time were on our side. And we commited a 24-sec violation. That's with 3 minutes to go down by 10 pts. WTF?

And where is Baxter? Didn't we get him as a banger and rebounder? We desperately needed someone like him in recent games but JVG seems to have forgotten him totally.

We put together this team full of unathletic old men, hoping their smart makes up the physical disadvantage. But we are not showing any of that now. I've said it before, our players such as Wesley and Barry, play best when things are going our way. But we need them to play better when things are against us. That is when we need their experience and cool most. Sadly, Sura is the only guy who has that fighter mentality among the role players and he is out.

And WTF is Ewing doing with Yao? It is just stupid to hire him in the first place and it is even more stupid to have kept him this long.

I am more pissed off by the way they are playing than the losses. We will start winning when Tmac gets back, but this stretch exposed more problems than a few "L".
