Hi guys, remember what the Rockets looked like just over a year ago. Remember all the hard times filled with disappointment by often injured Yao and T-Mac. Remember when we thought we got a championship team with Pippen. In just a little over a year we`ve gone from a team damned in mediocricy to a title contender. We are still one of the youngest teams in the league, we are still one of the most fun to watch teams and we have 2 top 10 players - some might argue 2 top 5 players. And just to think that Morey is far from done building this team. The sky is the limit right now - even if we don`t win it all this year, we know we will come back stronger next season and our championship window is wide open. So please, whoever you are a fan of: just enjoy the ride. Don`t cuss out coach McHale, Harden, Howard, Beverly or Lin, if you feel they do something to put your favorite player down. Don`t start a fight with other posters on here, because they say something critical of your favorite players - and don`t start to pick a fight with fans of a player, just because you think it could be fun. Sure, critizice and argue as much as you want - just think before you do: am I angry because something is really hurting us win, or am I angry because one player doesn`t get what he deserved. You can still be disappointed then, but don`t start fights or cuss out our guys on the team. In the end we are all Rockets fans (I hope so at least) - so let`s act like Rockets fans and enjoy the ride. Rocket`s fans had to wait a long time to feel this good about our team again...
yeah, but i think its lame how Lin got screwed over when he did nothing wrong at least give him a chance to play with Dwight adn Harden instead of just randomly saying it wont work. he at least deserves a chance
Yeah, just like it sucked for Omer... Lin will get plenty of opportunity. I am sure that he will play 25-30 minutes a game, a lot of these minutes with Harden and Howard. He might even win his starting job back. This is not about screwing Lin - this is about maximizing the teams talents by always having one of your two best playmakers on the field. Oh, and I hope this does not just turn into another Lin threat - let`s just be excited for the season.
Cmon now it's not about Lin. The TEAM is bigger than any one player. the Rockets looked damn good in preseason and could win 60+ this year.

Lin will play 30 minutes a game, Harden and Howard will play 35 minutes a game. They will inevitably be on the court together at the same time.
I don't disagree with having one of them on the court at all times but you can accomplish that by simply having both Harden and Lin start and just phase out their minutes so one is always on the court. I am not saying Lin will definitely fit in or is part of the teams long term future. BUT Mchale should at least TRY IT OUT for 15 games or so and evaluate then. To pull someone just like this is not fair to the player.
yes, the team did look very good. and many of those games Lin started AND played very well. I think his FG%, 3pt % and overall chemistry with Dwight was fantastic
There is 82 games in a season and many practices to prove that. Mchale still remembers the playoffs in terms of what Lin is versus what Beverley is right now with this team.
Hey everyone, back to the OP's intent. This is a unity thread. How about we only say good, positive things about our each of our Rockets? We have such an awesome team, can't be that hard to only focus on the good things.
I agree. Lets talk about how good this TEAM will be. Not how Lin got screwed, McHale is a wacist, Lin is the GOAT, etc. The Rockets as a TEAM are going to be great. I can't wait until tomorrow.
