I did think Rodrick Rhodes was a dealbreaker in the Damon Stoudamire trade, and I was happy the Rockets kept him.
oh, and i actually thought I could steal finalsbound away from moestavern19. That's equivalent to thinking Naismith gives a damn about what you're saying.
Why are you an idiot for being happy about getting Otis Thorpe? He helped us to a title. Was there another or two? (I'm starting to believe in a dormant OT curse. Look at the Rockets luck with #33s, and then the fools gold Pistons -- they trade OT for a #1 pick from the Grizz, it turns into the #2 overall and they pick...Darko Milicic. Three cases of high hopes and higher let downs. Coincidence?) I thought Tito Maddox was a steal in the 2nd round.
i thought v-mac would be the answer for our pg duty. i thought he would take over the starting spot. i also thought mike james coming back was the answer to our pg problems.
i didn't think paul pierce would be as good as he has proven to be... I was happy to get eddie griffin... I was happy to get the stro show (my tiger eyes blinded me)... I wanted dejuan wagner... I thought the board would get better after we drafted yao...
ditto ditto ditto ditto ditto funny thing about the last one....I was Clutch's server host at that time. When the lottery gave us the #1...he called me all excited like me but we started rethinking it and so the most memorable thing he said about Yao and the board and our bandwith was... [clutch edit] this is so great. This is exactly what the board needed. [/unclutch edit]
I thought Terrell Bell was a steal and would be a solid contributor for years. Do you even know who Terrell Bell is? Didn't think so.
Because I tried to find a reason why I'm an idiot...but I almost forgot I was perfect. Just kidding...I was so sure that Jay Williams was better for the Rockets than Yao Ming...yes even with Steve Francis
I thought and maybe still think that Luther Head will develop into a Ray Allen-type player... ...slasher, athletic, knock-down shooter... hmm
You guys have to admit that a frontline of Yao Ming, Eddie Griffin, James Posey, flanked by Mo Taylor, Nachbar, Kelvin Cato, and Terrence Morris, looked DAMN good at the time. Especially considering none of the aforementioned even included our top two scorers.
