    Ok, so obviously you all know that. But still, just looking at the standings makes me really happy. I'm much more comfortable with this Rockets team than I have been in years. In fact, considering I'm a younger fan and got into the Rockets after those back to back championship years, I've never been this comfortable with the team. The way they are playing.

    I mean sure, we have a few losses here and there, but so does everyone, at this point we can feel pretty comfortable as long as we keep this up, which I know we can.

    I mean, earlier in the season, I was just hoping for a playoff spot. Now I may be overconfident with the team.

    Ok, so, right now, lets just take a few seconds and look at this
    http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/standings

    At the beginning of the season, and specially when T-Mac was out, journalists were counting us out, never thought we'd get there. Heh, but look at them now.

    I'm extremely proud of this team personally, and you should be too. Theres only one team that I think stands in our way, and even though we have struggled against them, I have a feeling we can beat them.

    So, lets use this thread to talk about how proud you are of this team and what you are looking forward to from them. No room for negativity here, this is a time to feel good about our team.

    Go Rockets! :D

    Only if they got home court advantage would I be worried.

    They have the potential to beat us, but I think we are a better team.

    I'm more worried about the Lakers

    That's why we need to hold this number 2 seed. Home court until the WCF and you never know what could happen. Perhaps someone like the Blazers upsets the Lakers on the way?

    All those losses to bottom feeders still makes me angry. Imagine the possibilities...

    i am very impressed where this team as gotten at. right now, the only teams that i think can beat us in the playoffs are lakers and jazz. i hope to avoid lakers and all cost. and a part of me just really wants to play then jazz and get a long awaited redemption!

    Jazz will drop to 8th seed and Lakers will be beat by Jazz in first round.
    And Jazz will be beat by Horents in second round. XD

    30 footer mcgrady gave up to Roy, 0-2 v. Indiana this season, 2 losses to memphis, a loss to the wizards at home, blownout by raptors and bucks, 4th quarter meltdown at chicago and spurs in november, loss v knicks, loss v the clippers, and loss at home against 76ers

    i'd have to agree, that's at least 6-8 more wins the rocket should have and more importantly, 6-8 less losses
    on a brighter note most of those losses were with Mcgrady, which meant we played 4v5 most of the time in those games

    Yep man...Kobe tears us up...

    I think he almost circles our games because he sees how other guys fare against Battier and Artest and proves to everyone that he's nearly impossible to guard.

    One thing Kobe has over Wade and Lebron is the mental aspect of the game. Kobe has got that down.

    well put.

    not to mention the locker room issues. the game planning issues, since no one knew when he'd play.

    the team as it stands can get out of the first round. now imagine next year when this team doesn't have those issues, and doesn't lose 7 games to last place teams. on top of that, imagine how good they will be when they get something for tmac.

    How is this not a rubbish thread, mod?

    btw there's no way the rockets can hold on to the 2nd place. Look at our schedule and look at their schedule.

    Man... WAY too early for this.. Look at our schedule..

    @Utah
    vs. LA Clippers
    @Phoenix
    @LA Lakers
    vs. Portland
    vs. Orlando
    @Sacramento
    @Golden State
    vs. New Orleans
    @Dallas

    Now call me a liar, but I think we are gonna lose at least 3-4 of those games.. and that may very well decide the 2nd seed.. Not sure my HCA, but at least the 2nd seed. Denver has a pretty easy schedule, as does New Orleans.

    we got #1 in the WC last year, but didnt last long.

    We have had home court before, didn't matter.

    With that said, I was glad the Rockets got the win today.
