Don't be so down on Cuttino, he is injured. Not just any injury.... but a very severe injury. He hyperextended his SHOOTING ARM. Its very hard to play through it and even rehabilitate. Last week I hyperextended my shooting arm and it hurts to shoot. My shot isn't fluid and I'm having trouble getting my "snap". I think we should get off his back. If anything we should admire his attitude for trying to play through it... its not like he jacked up 24 shots, he shot 13. That isn't too bad considering Atawn Jamison has shot 30+ at least two times this year. Word to the Cuttino haters.... Without him we are a .333 team, embrace his elegance. And Shandon sadly isn't what he used to be, so don't keep saying "PASS IT TO SHAN". Its moot, he is playing like a timid HS player. Cuttino has the balls to take the last shot and his winning determination and drive will lead us to the promised land.... give him time. --Rocketman 34-17 OU over FSU Jan 3. ------------------
If it's that serious, the guy needs to sit out and let it heal, simple as that. ------------------ "He was under more balls than a midget hooker."-Bobby Hill visit www.swirve.com and, http://www.geocities.com/clutch34_2000 for great Rocket insight by some of your fellow BBS posters!
Against the Spurs (when his elbow was also hyperextended), Mobley put up 19 shots, more than anyone on the floor, including Duncan. The 13 he put up against the Lakers was more than any other Rocket except Taylor (9-14). So he may have put up only 13 shots, but that was more than Francis, Olajuwon, Williams (a rare good shooting game, Norris, etc. ------------------
I think bobrek made the best point. If his arm was really that bad off, he shouldn't have been shooting jumpers. Period. If he wanted to go to the hole, fine. But, jacking up 20-footer's and three's is ridiculous. ------------------ The way to use life is to do nothing through acting, The way to use life is to do everything through being. - Lao-Tzu
